Project: CARS Nexus?

I am not sure how many people are aware of the in production title called Project: CARS, the makers invite anyone and everyone to take part in funding/testing/creating the game. So far it looks extremely impressive, and if you are aware... Would you like to see a Nexus site for it after it is released?

 

I am just imagining what it could achieve... Like new cars, new tracks and even fuller races (as in, over 200 cars on the Nurburgring at the same time for an authentic 'Ring 24 race.

Dark0ne would have to like the game to make a website for it. He'll probably check it out and decide.

 

Dunno how far that game would go though. It really seems the car games do better on consoles. I don't know much about them anymore lol, last one I played was Gran Turismo 3 :P

I don't see much point in modding racing games, unless you have some kind of mechanical knowledge then the concept is wasted. There isn't much scope for variety and would be restricted to editing skins, engines, frames, handling etc. where as the really good nexus sights are for the free-roam rpgs. It might be good if there were a tool kit to make some awesome custom tracks though but that would be up to the developers, until then I can't see it happening. This site needs expanding to different types of games, I see no reason for a racing game that is modifiable to be on the Nexus, i am a big fan of racing games in general, especially the game gran turismo 5 which is the king of all racing games, if it has the same stuff as GT5 has then maybe lol, i have High standards http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/teehee.gif although if its modifiable with a ck, then anythings possible .http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif one thing the pc lacks is a decent modifiable racing game that has the potential to out do Gt5 and Forza all together.

Actually i am very excited for this game to achieve its goal, i will sure buy it if its going be on steam or disk based with a ck. The nexus has never really been about games other than rpg games...but that carpg title is very funny :laugh: . I am not really for or against a project cars nexus though I am interested in the game and have been following it for months.

I don't deliberately focus on RPGs, they're just typically the games with the biggest modding scenes that I'm interested in. I'm looking to expand my genres and I don't want Nexus to be known as an RPG only location; that's just kinda the way it's gone.

I can understand why RPG's tend be served here on your sites, they are so rich in content and possibility. I would think that comes with the territory of what an RPG is, I certainly don't it against anyone that the Nexus is full of RPG games... especially when the Nexus has introduced me to so many great games I would never have otherwise looked at. Also, great move on the XCOM addition, I hope Sid Meier continues his support of modding in that one.

 

Indeed as others have said, how could a potential Nexus serve a racing game? If I am honest, I am not entirely sure beyond cars, skins, tracks... maybe new game modes like police chases. The only thing I know though, there is a long way before the P:Cars community is ready to release the game. They are recreating a highway on the Californian coast, perhaps modders can re-create the M4... that way we can all scream and shout when we have to stop to pay a toll to enter Wales. :biggrin:
