Fallout 4- Mods loaded, but not running

Hi all,

 

I recently grabbed Fallout 4 and, given that FOMM doesn't support it, decided to use Vortex to manage/install mods.

 

To the best of my knowledge, all of the mods are installed properly, in the correct location- same drive, as Vortex told me to.

 

When I open Fallout 4, the mods appear in the mods window, but they have no description, no image, etc. More importantly, they seem to have no effect. Fallout 4 obviously detects that they're present- given the fact that they're appearing in the game's mod menu- but the changes aren't actually there.

 

One unusual thing is that the Vortex packages ARE installing in the path I told it to follow; but when I open the mod folder location within Vortex, it then routes me to a folder within Fallout 4. I'm not sure if this is an issue or what I can do to fix it.

 

 

For reference, I'm using:

 

UOF4P

Homemaker

OCDecorator

Place Everywhere

Vivid Fallout

Ultra Exterior Lighting

Achievements V-1-0-5

 

I'm not aware of any conflicts from running these, so I don't think that's the issue, but I could be wrong as I'm not very experienced with modding.

 

I can provide links if that is helpful. I've also added the locations of the file folders to confirm I'm doing everything correctly.

First question, did you DEPLOY the Mods after Installing?

 

I can't make heads or tails out of two of those screenshots because they're so small.

 

Your Vortex DOWNLOADS and MOD STAGING folder should be something like

D:\Downloads\Fallout4\ or D:\Vortex Downloads\Fallout4\ etc


Mod Staging something like

D:\Mods\Fallout4\, or D:\Vortex Mods\Fallout4\ etc.

Where are your Download and Mod Staging Folders?

By "correct location- same drive" do you mean that the Fallout 4 Mod Staging Folder is on the same drive as Fallout 4, but not in the Fallout 4 game folder?

 

By "mods window" do you mean the Vortex mods page for Fallout 4?

 

When you refer to "the game's mod menu," what exactly are you referring to?

 

When you look in the Fallout 4 game data folder, do you see your installed mods (ESP's, textures, meshes, etc.)?

 

Your first two thumbnails are quite small and difficult to read.

Sicarius is probably a close fit. However, in your case, I would rather use fur, as in fur in nocte. :smile:
