StormWolf01
TIA for taking the time to read :) I started playing this game on the PS4 (yeah...I know... ) That has gone the way of the do-do bird, and no longer have the console. I had a couple of mods on it that I can't seem to locate again. And no access to the load order from it, so I don't even know what the names of them were. The mods I'm trying to replace both have to do with companions, particularly their follow distance behavior. I'm currently using AFT (Amazing Follower Tweeks) and there's things I like, and things I don't. (We're never satisfied, right?) I actually LIKE having my primary companion right there at my shoulder. With AFT, if you get too close, the companion will back off. The mod that I used to have, they were right there. I could look Piper or Cait right in the eye, while I was camping a spot while sneaking. I Miss that. The other mod I had, would make it so that if you bumped them, or pushed into them a couple of times, they'd move, and try to back off. THAT I really want to have again. Because of one of those two mods, my companions weren't getting lost. They didn't wander off. If they did, they reappeared when they got out of range. With AFT, they're CONSTANTLY lost. Sometimes I even have to go back after a Fast Travel to go back to get them. Any ideas? Also, if I can ask a favor. Please, no abbreviations. I can't use something like AFK to search through the mods, to DL one. Again, thanks in advance!-Storm
HadToRegister
TIAPS4AFTAFTAFTAFKDL Also, if I can ask a favor. Please, no abbreviations. ^ Irony. Anyway... One mod is MOVE which makes them get out of your way Another is Companion Commands and Tactics, hot keys to change companion follow distance etc
StormWolf01
Hi HadToRegister, thanks for the reply!Irony indeed! That made me laugh, but true enough.Nah, there's just too many mods for me to be able to remember very many of them by the abbreviations, unless it's one that I deal with a lot, so I figured that I wouldnt recognize one if somebody posted it like that. Move looks familiar! I'll try that! Thanks! Edited November 2, 2019 by StormWolf01
ScottyDoesKnow
This is the one I use for sneaking, it says it also increases the normal follow distance a bit: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15823
StormWolf01
Heya Scott! First...Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and for taking the time to look that up for me. I really do appreciate that, thanks much!So please don't think that I don't appreciate it, when I say that Amazing Follower Tweaks that I'm already using, already has that mod covered. I like how that mod makes the comment about Dogmeat in the crosshairs. For me it's either Him, or NIck. But AFT will teleport them to behind you, if you are swinging your crosshairs too fast and they get into your FOV. Or if they come up on you too quick, and they get into your Line of Fire.Speaking of Nick. Does that one affect companions that haven't been recruited yet? Aft will make Danse slow down and wait for you, while you loot and stuff during the BoS intro quest. But it doesn't affect Nick, so he's still running off waaaay ahead to go get aggro with the gangsters. Edit 11-06-2019 (Editing so as not to bump the thread. Well, I just got a big reminder of why I mostly play solo, without companions. It had nothing to do with them getting in my way, or the fact that they would point a gun at the back of my head while hunkered down in sneak mode, or the fact that they never shut up.Oh no.I sneak up on a raider, and am in the process of slipping a live grenade into his pocket. I'm halfway thru the process, when Cait decides to just BLOW HIS HEAD OFF!Grrrrrrrrrr. Annoying, but I was laughing about it afterwards.
