Oh no here we go again

Yep, as it says on the tin.

The forums are looking darned peculiar, come to think of it, so are the Nexus sites. For example, when I went to start this topic, the New Topic button was apparently missing, and it was only upon hovering over a label-less button that I found it was the New Topic button.

On Skyrim Nexus, when I go to manage file that I have access to (I wanted to upload an update to my mod, yes I AM the co-author, really!)the green buttons where you can do stuff were all jumbled and kind of stacked on top of one another, was likewise difficult to find.

Then my favourite problem occurred again whereby I am unable to quote the posts of others in order to reply to them. When I hit quote, the quoted text appears for about a millisecond and then vanishes.

Then, when I had typed out a post and hit post I got this message;-

"!An error occured with the SQL server:

mySQL query error: SELECT * FROM ibf_posts WHERE post_key='8bcca41ff8f23cf4164d5d1e30bc2543'

This is not a problem with IP.Board but rather with your SQL server. Please contact your host and copy the message shown above."

Although in fact the post got posted...

Something deeply weird is going on. I am not using any outlandish browser, just Firefox.

I am now de-wonkied.

Firefox does seem to be getting to be more trouble than it's worth these days. Won't save logins either here or anywhere else.

In the address bar type:

about:config

Scroll down to

signon.rememberSignons

Double click it to make it == true.

Now that you mention it i've seen some similar problems with my profile and messages tab on skyrimnexus - where I usually get "messages <number>" the number is blank, sometimes the profile name will be blank, sometimes it will register me as not being signed in...all these fix with a page refresh normally so I don't fret about it.

I also noticed some images in the Image Share getting several thousand views within less than an hour of being up there which seems irregular.

Oh dear, did the about:config thing and it already said true....

Do you have a user.js (user prefs) that is overwriting the default prefs? You can check this by Help >> Troubleshooting Information >> Show Folder (under Application Basics).
