ILoveNukaCola
I must say when I first found this site looking for FO3 mods I instantly loved it, glad to see it is also in good hands. I'm not a premium member yet, but soon... Keep it up man. The world needs sites like these.
Keanon
I attempted to contact the moderator "Forzaa" to diplomatically enquire as to why I was banned and that account was also banned without warning or reason. So I let the mod authors who I'd been in contact know about what had happened and moved on. Many mod authors from the community consequently contacted me either here or via email to let me know how bad they felt about how the situation had been handled by the Paradox moderators. They wanted me to enquire further to find out whether Forzaa (or any other moderator at PP) was acting on behalf of Paradox or whether it was just a knee-jerk reaction from some lower downs. I thanked them for their very kind words, but told them I'd moved on to other projects but they'd be more than welcome to enquire themselves as to what the policy was on the matter. Getting banned for even mentioning the Nexus was a first, but hey, I'm not going to get upset about it. There's no need. I'd recommend not enquiring too much about it on the Paradox Plaza forums. They seem to be a little touchy about the subject :) Did you consider sending an e-mail to one of the Devs? Moderators are very strict on Paradox and sometimes borderline arbitrary, but the Devs don't have rules to uphold and might be interested in the extra publicity it might generate for their game. Also, as far as I could see you were banned by the Administrator, Castellon, not one of the Moderators.
Dark0ne
Did you consider sending an e-mail to one of the Devs? Moderators are very strict on Paradox and sometimes borderline arbitrary, but the Devs don't have rules to uphold and might be interested in the extra publicity it might generate for their game. I considered it, but I didn't do it. As I said, I didn't really have the time to try and defuse an unnecessarily bemusing situation and decided to move on to other projects, especially since the moderation team there felt the need to ignore any attempt at contact. stars2heaven
That's a shame. I mentioned also that it might get them some extra publicity. It would be nice but if they are going to be that hostile towards it I guess there's nothing to do about it.
Saije
Read the whole thing. Yay. Been using the Nexus sites for a long time now. Been around for Oblivion, FO3, FNV and Skyrim. It's been a pleasure to watch the site grow and evolve. It's great that your finally able to branch out. With dedication to quality and community here's hoping the sites stay going strong for a long time to come.
DamarStiehl
All this is good, but you really need to focus on the site's performance at this time. Nexus has been downright AWFUL in the last month or so, moreso when accessed via NMM. Last few NMM updates were a disaster. Incomplete downloads, hangs galore, interrupted downloads, yay. The site reports files as hidden when they aren't, comment pane needs extra clicks to refresh, etc, etc. To sum it up, it's been a mess lately, and it needs to be straightened out. Pushkatu
Thanks for the cookie, it's 3 am here and I've yet to eat something in the past 12 hours. Anyway, after reading your post all I can say is go ahead and do what you've planned. Your magic seems to work and most if not all of the rabbits you've pulled out of your hat, started to grow and become what we know today as OblivionNexus, F3Nexus, SkyrimNexus and so on. Faivon
It's a good thing you stay by your principle. I think currently Nexus is known for one of the best TES mods site. I hope in the future Nexus will be known for one of the best gaming mods site. All the best!
deadblood01
why its that everytime i start NMM it asks for a password it never happened before. also im getting 1/4 of the speed both in NMM and manual downloads ONLY on Nexus. Nexus site is becoming awfully worse day by day and NMM update by update. please tell me the password Fix.
Rethrain
It surprises me that Paradox-- well, the website -- acted in such a fashion. To be honest I know Moderators have locked threads 'cause people kept talking in a different language, but this...I think it's more an excuse to stamp you out, so to speak, rather than upholding any sort of rule, since they also banned one of their own, Forzaa, whom I remember. However, if that is the way it's going to be, it's their loss, certainly no skin off your nose. But I'm guessing you already figured that out, seeing as you don't want to be involved in their problem. I wouldn't want to be either. :p I'm just disappointed because I happen to like that community... Edited October 31, 2012 by Rethrain
