Kraeten
There's so much I miss. Probably most of all though I just miss the old guilds. I enjoyed traveling between cities, and gaining new promotions. I enjoyed the longer story lines and the sense of progression. I don't get that feeling much in Skyrim. Everything's too darn short. MiloHunts
There is a small fix for a portion of that Enhanced Skyrim Factions, is a work in progress to do that with the Companions guild
Falkner1992
There's so much I miss. Probably most of all though I just miss the old guilds. Exactly. EDIT: There's a lot I miss from Oblivion, Skyrim did a lot of things right, but it also made a lot of things wrong. Specifically, they downplayed the RPG part of the game and made it much more action focused. Now, better combat is certainly appreciated, but I feel like they're trying to turn the series from an action RPG to an action game with RPG elements, like they did with Fallout, which in my mind is a FPS through and through and doesn't even qualify as an RPG, and to me, that's a big no-no. modder3434
Also with Oblivion, don't forget you were the Hero with Knights of the Nine.I realy enjoyed that DLC That was one of the best DLC, but the Shivering Isles takes the cake in size, content, and storytelling. slainia
Lol...I loved S.IIn fact, one of my favorite skyrim quests is his. :) Mostly because I love his comments/personality - the quest itself isn't too bad, but imo not up to par from previous games. Anyway. I miss the personality of our characters, their reactions and thoughts on things.
Pixeldust
~From Oblivion~ -Merchants that I can sell ALL my crap to without them running out of money. -Portable Alchemy -Ability to use weapons underwater. -Ability to have a shield and weapon equipped and still be able to use spells at the same time. (Why doesn't Skyrim have this?! Also, what is with dual wielding not showing both your weapons?) -Ability to create spells as well as variety of spells. -The lack of dragons and spiders. (Afraid of spiders and dragons were annoying after I killed the first one.) -Lengthy guild questlines that made me feel like I earned my rank, also actually having ranks. -Quests that aren't 95% dungeon crawls. -Variety of Unique items -Lack of Radiant Quests (Such a horrible idea.) -Armor consisting of MORE than four pieces. (Helmet, Chest, Boots, Gloves.) -Memorable characters that actually had depth. (Martin Septim, Lucien Lachance, Count Hassildor (Count of Skingrad), The Grey Fox, Weebam-Nah, Mazoga, The Gray Prince, Almost every major npc in The Shivering Isles.) Skyrim's character development is about as deep as the shallow end of the pool. -More realistically sized cities. (The Skyrim ones are tiny compared to the Oblivion ones.) -Being a normal person with no special abilities. (I don't want to have to be the Dragonborn to be the Hero, can't I just be the normal average joe?) -Athletic Skill/Acrobatic Skill (I love jumping really high and really far... sure it's not realistic, but it's a lot of fun.) -Stolen Loot having to be sold to a Thieves Guild fence to actually be able to get quests from them. -A decent Mages Guild, as in one that isn't four quests long. -The Dark Brotherhood not being on the verge of extinction. -The Blades being a Faction that is likable. -Guards that do not mock me. Also, (STOP, YOU VIOLATED THE LAW! Is far more exciting than the arrow to the knee joke.) -The Infamy/Fame System -Doom Stones/Heaven Stones/Rune Stones
