nakakita
@DigitalTrucker No, you're right. xD .. I guess it's just more in your face with Nords because... they're the dominant population, and they lack subtlety on the whole. And they have those silly accents. It isn't political-correctness in my case anyway. @StayFrosty, I like your line about judging individuals as individuals instead of lumping them all together as one thing. I always do my best to follow that in the analogue world (where it actually matters, and am usually successful, unless the person is just a walking stereotype....) but it's harder with generic Nord #324 since they have less character development. And the one time I was going to make myself go Stormcloak (Imperial4Lyfe), when I wandered into the Stormcloak camp to listen to their reasons on 'Why you should join our cause' (and I had been totally neutral. I use an alternate start, and I hadn't sided with either side.. and I was playing a Breton), all the Stormcloaks in the camp were rather rude, and telling me 'You don't belong here friend. I can stay neutral for a long period of time, and while the Imperials are never hostile the Stormcloaks always are. Maybe it's a glitch, but it's colored my view of them even more. I can stay neutral for a long period of time, and while the Imperials are never hostile the Stormcloaks always are. Maybe it's a glitch, but it's colored my view of them even more. In my first game I really wanted to examine the reasons for the Civil War and the various perceptions on both sides and trawled for every bit of dialog I could find in the game pertaining to the War, Ulfirc, Tullius, Stormcloaks, Imperials, etc... My eventual consensus was though both sides are mad and heavily colored with arrogance, one eyed views and convenient memories....Ulfric is a loose cannon with no fore thought and a danger to Skyrim, his not all there.....And so I continue to choose what I consider the lesser of the two evils (the Imperials) if I play the Civil War.....With that said though, in Helgen I run with Ralof (the Stormcloak)...for the simple fact that I can not see any reason why my Dovahkin would follow someone who was part of the contingent that had just moments before wanted to cut his head off without reason or crime...and continues to refer to him as 'Prisoner'....seems to me his motive would be to keep the Prisoner alive for sanctioned execution after the Helgen incident.....Hadver does strike me as a man who follows order's to the letter and I am inclined to feel such a man would rescue a Prisoner for just such formalities. nakakita
Of the commanders I spoke with, the Altmer legion commander in Riften's camp has had the best argument for choosing a side. But of course he could be a Thalmor plant posing as someone who hates Thalmor. Then again, I rather doubt it. The Thalmor seem to treat Altmer who are not from Alinor about as kindly as the Argonian government treats the assimilated.

formalrevya
There's not really anything nice about any of the races. The imperials are power hungry expansionists who want to assimilate and subjugate every culture they come in contact with. The Dunmer are Xenophobic pro slavery Daedra worshippers with a very strong sense of superiority to the other races and members of their own race. ((let's face it, if you aren't from one of the 7 great houses, you're nothing in their society))Orcs are merciless barbarians who spend all their time waging war. If not for their own personal goals then at the behest of whoever has the heaviest coin purse. and they're Xenophobic. The Khajitt are the chief suppliers of a drug that destroys the lives of countless people. ((it's their chief export and main source of income))Argonians- Not to judge the group by the actions of the individual, but honestly, what's the ratio of Good honest argonians to thieves and cuthroats? 1 to 30? Altmer and Bosmer- Both elven supremacists looking to wipe out mankind. both having given it one hell of a go not too long ago in Skyrim's timeline. Redguards- Actually, other than the mercenary work and fondness of piracy, not a bad group. Bretons- Nobody knows or cares.
Ghoulz
Really? I thought most uploaded images were of Nords..
DashingKnight
Nords are actually pretty awesome. There a very hearty bunch, many favor strong drink and song. Lol! They make great barbarians and Skyrim simply wouldn't be the same without them.
InuyashaFE
Humans are boring. That's my reasoning.
Kraeten
I'm not sure how I feel about Nords to be honest. I admire their bravery and pride, but I also feel contempt for their might before intelligence lifestyle. Such an attitude isn't necessarily the standard however, which is why my Nord characters typically act more like Legate Rikke, Jarl Balgruuf or Brunwulf-Freewinter. I'll say this much for Nords, my characters are rarely any other race.
