vagabond202
I just purchased premium membership and, while I get fast speeds for small mods, I get archaic speeds for large mods. This is exactly the OPPOSITE reason why I purchased membership. I need my large files to download quickly. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks! HadToRegister
Are you using Vortex to download? If you just upgraded to Premium, you need to log out and log back in, same with Vortex. Also, in Vortex, go to SETTINGS------->DOWNLOAD, and see if this slider is set all the way to the right, you should set it to 10 download threads
Tannin42
The download speed throttling happens on the server, not inside Vortex. A lot of users seem to get the full speed only after a bit of waiting after going premium but that's entirely on the website, if you think you have a problem there, you have to report it to the web team. I wouldn't generally advice setting the Download Threads to max. There is a more detailed explanation when you click the little i icon but in short: Set it to 1 and only increase it if you download speed is less than what your connection can do and only leave it increased if that actually gives you a speed boost.Using multiple download threads causes a (slight) bit of overhead (more memory usage, more cpu usage, more random disk access) at absolutely no gain for most users.
