Editing a post, weirdness with the text, does anybody else experience this?

OK, if I'm in this window editing my text for the forum, and I type out a sentence, and want to add something to it, THIS is what will happen, randomly

I want to know if it's Chrome, my Mouse or Keyboard or the Forums being weird, so I need to know if this happens to everybody else.

EX: I type a sentence like this...
OK, so I type this out and I want to add something to the beginning,. or middle of the sentence

 

EX: I go to add to or edit the sentence, and THIS happens

All right so I put the mouse cursorOK, so I type this out and I want to add something to the beginning,. or middle of the sentenecat the beginning of the sentence and it jumps to the end or middle of the sentence and continues typing the text there, rather than staying where I put the cursor.

Anybody else?

HTR- I've been having a few issues with the editor as well. Especially lag. In that the editor isn't keeping up with my input speed.

I was attributing it to running silver fox, which is a branch from firefox, which is just a crudtastic browser in it's most recent incarnations.

I can't say if it's a site issue, or if it's a browser issue, or maybe even a browser plugins issue. But yeah...I'm having problems with it too.

I had one of my edited posts go into italics on about 3 sentences, when I'd only had tags set for one word in italics.

i think its an unintended consequence of an online WYSIWYG editor. I long since gave up using it and now compose replies in Notepad++ and cut/paste them into the reply box when I'm happy with the formatting.

I think I might do that, I keep notepad++ open all the time, mainly for Vortex Support Screenshots to post.

For what it's worth, I'm using Firefox, and I've experienced none of the problems reported here.

Strangely enough, when I use Firefox, then I'm unable to deleted nested quotes

Using Firefox, I can delete everything in nested quotes except "{Name} on {Date} - {Time} said:." That sentence I have to delete by using backspace. In my experience, it's always been that way. Should it be otherwise?

Yea, I can highlight everything with the mouse and hit delete in Chrome, I used to be able to do that in Firefox as well, then the things you mentioned stop deleting one day
