DukeNukem2
Is anyone using Maya to create Fallout 3 weapons, characters, etc and having success? I'm using Maya and niftools 0.5, some reason 0.6 is not working with my version of maya . I've made some nice models and i've imported them into nifscope but i'm getting errors. I used the .obj import over the original 10mm pistol parts. I tried Jaysus's tutorial, but i don't get nitristrips from my .nif exported from Maya. jaysus
if you export as *.obj you always end up with nitrishapes not strips... ---> r.click the parent shape -> block -> stripifythat will turn them to strips
leadtail
I am trying to import a gun that has this animation to it, as shown on this page http://www.kirstkonverter.com/remington.html I have it working on Nifscope but when it imports into the game the 'arm' under the barrel and cylinder shaft does not move (cylinder shaft will move continuously when crouched). I used the 44 mag as a base and copied over the subnose rotation of the 32 for the 'arm' animation. Any idea how to get this to work? I also have another gun that is a top break like the 32 pistol but the rotation of the barrel is in a different spot. If i move the pivot point in Nifscope it works as it should, but it reverts back to its original spot when exported into the game. Looks fine when you first equip it but on reload the barrel moves to the old pivot point. Help please! I am using xxxx.16 version of Nifscope. Nice, mind uploading a higher res version for download? The youtube vid makes it kinda hard to see what your doing.
