IC0NN0RI
When i designate the Download path in Vortex (i.e E:\Games\VortexMods\Downloads) it seems to auto-create sub folders for each game. However the 'Mods' folder set up doesn't seem to do the same. I go to manage monster hunter: world, click on the file path for 'mods', find E:\Games\VortexMods\Mods and create a new folder called "MHW", and select it as the mods staging destination folder. Then I go to manage The Witcher 3, and get an error message saying my staging folder is missing. So i follow the dialogue to create a new folder at E:\Games\VortexMods\Mods called "TW3", and it moves my "MHW" folder into this new "TW3" folder as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/w6cdjXV.png If i go back to manage MHW I get the missing staging folder error again; https://i.imgur.com/i2I1MxL.png?1 I've tried just designating the 'mods' folder for both games as E:\Games\VortexMods\Mods, and still get similar missing folder bulls***. I've tried setting the paths as E:\Games\VortexMods\{GAME} and that doesn't work either. what the f*** is going on here? This is infuriating. How the hell do you set up the mod staging folder / path? Is this just an issue with TW3 in particular? Am i completely retarded and doing something dumb, or is Vortex actually this broken? edit: So i decided to try uninstalling Vortex, deleting the Directory folder i made for it, and starting over. My previous Vortex mod folder was called 'Vortex_Mods', and the new one is called 'Vortex Mods'. When i try to direct monster hunter world to use the new "E:\Games\Vortex Mods\Mods' directory it gives me an error saying missing staging folder, then if i click 'reinitialize' it says 'Failed to move directories'. So i guess now it's imposible for me to create a mods folder for this game.Truly f*#@ this broken program.
Zanderat
Nothing is broken. My TW3 staging folder looks like this: C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\witcher3\mods. I didn't do anything special. This was Vortex default.
AugustaCalidia
@ICONNORI I go to manage monster hunter: world, click on the file path for 'mods', find E:\Games\VortexMods\Mods and create a new folder called "MHW", and select it as the mods staging destination folder. Once you select the path "E:\Games\VortexMods\Mods," you are done. That is your mods staging destination folder for all games that Vortex manages. You need not do anything else now but activate your game, and Vortex will create the appropriate mod folders for you.
