Help, new to modding.

(I asked this question in the wrong forums, so sorry if this is the second time your seeing this again.)

 

HI! so I'm not very experienced with modding, i know a few basics, if anyone was willing to sit down for a few hours or so and run me down everything i need to know on how to mod, id much appreciate it. i know there are guides but its easier for me to understand if someone can run me through it, i hope this is on the right topic forums.

2) what game? this site supports hundreds of games and I can't direct you to the correct forum for assistance

First thing you should do when you're new anywhere, is take your time to look around the site. There's hundreds of different fora where you can read-up on what you need to mod a game. Like Dr Kaizeld said above, when we don't know which game you want to start modding, we can't help as most games are different to mod.

 

Two things that are a necessity when modding is time and patience. Time to run a mod in the game and patience in case something goes awry. And please read the instructions on every single mod you'd like to use.

I suppose it depends of the game you want to modify but like JimmyRJump wrote you'll need time and patience. You'll also need to try, test, understand what goes wrong, look at tutorials and things like this.
