Sounds like you are still on EW patch 2, which somewhat broke keybinding. This was fixed by EW patch 3. Check what patch level you are on 'here'.

The 'Keybind Commands' wiki article has now been updated with the tutorial Drakous79 created. Perhaps reviewing that will help.

Sadly, I have the correct version. I'm going to verify game content and try again, but I definitely double checked to see if there was a section in DefaultGame.ini (there wasn't) and I checked that Steam was updating regularly. =(

Also I checked for curly brackets, and I wasn't using them. Which makes sense, since copy/pasting the same line to EU worked fine.

Weird. Verifying game content (even though I did that two days ago to fix a problem with cutscene issue) and redoing my changes worked fine. PROBLEM SOLVED!

So far we have only seen that particular error with a so called "alternate version" of the game. That version has it's own internal hash check that prevents it from running with mods that require editing the EXE (which is pretty much most of them, just to get them to use the edited INI files).

is there edited .exe file somewhere to download? so I can make it work. Or any tutorial how to edit it?

The instructions on how to edit the Steam version of the EXE (either from CD/DVD or by download, both are Steam versions) are in the wiki article 'Basic Guide to installing mods'.

But I don't think that is going to help you. As I said, the "alternate version" you have doesn't accept being modified, and throws the error you cited. We have no help here about how to "fix" that, as it is not a supported version. Nexus Forum rules.

Anyone know if there is a way to keybind a quickload or to call the games load ui?

Haven't found any way.

Does this work for Ios version? there is no .ini files..

Patriku, MAC users can find DefaultInput.ini in <Steam install path>/XCom-Enemy-Unknown/XCOMData/XComGame/Config

Hi dantay6, you can put this at the end of DefaultInput.ini:

[Engine.PlayerInput]
.Bindings=(Name="F12",Command="LowerPanic")

Hit F12 and then check Situation Room.
