Drakinor1
Let me start off by saying it is an AMAZING mod and the amount of effort put into it is mind blowing! I do not want to come off as bashing this mod or saying its bad because it is truly a great mod. My issue comes down to personal preference and opinion. While I LOVE SkyRe, I find the amount of armor and weapons mods I can't use (because the armor and damage values are all updated in SkyRe but not for all mods) sad. I also find playing a pure mage nearly impossible, especially early on. I was able to do well with a stealth character and really well with a sword and board type character buy mages just seem to be insanely difficult, maybe its just me I dont know but seeing as mage is my prefered playstyle it kinda killed it for me. I wish this mod well as it is truly insanely well done! Just wanted to get that off my chest lol.

paladinfather
Actually came here to see if the mod was broken since I can't seem to do dmg with a mage... guess it is working as intended. :)
throttlekitty
I've been playing a mage just fine, mostly conjuration and tossing spells as I go. The first 15 levels or so were kind of rough, but some perks and caster gear made it easier. Leel 50-ish now, and life is easymode.
Acannibal
I hear you with the armor values. I think having a version, that had armor and weapon values at Vanilla would be a nice option, for those of us that enjoy lots of mods that might not get SKYRE patches. Yodhrin
I'll be honest, I'm surprised to see you're having issues with magic use, my Necromancer/Frostmage character was so easy I had to up the difficulty, almost everything was dying in one or two Ice Spikes after I got the first two or three Destruction Frost perks. Maybe I was doing something wrong, lol I dunno. I decided to give it another go. I didn't get far on a mage because, at least at early levels, it seemed everything would just lay waste to me. I did notice that playing stealth or combat wasn't nearly as difficult, and melee combat was A LOT more fun. Gotta say after playing with skyre going back to retarded npcs that just let you wail on them is no fun.

You can keep the AI module alone if you don't want the other stuff like scaling progression, changes to perks, combat, etc. I too have found that AI is much more responsive with this mod. Add in deadly combat for melee and it's pretty darn fun (I hated vanilla skyrim melee too). I would also suggest adding the apocalypse spell package it's pretty neat (idk how compatible it is with SkyRe though, I just have it so enemy mages can use its spells thanks to ASIS). Just started my character with this setup so I'm gonna see how it goes Khajiit melee/crossbow warrior ftw! :D Edited December 1, 2012 by Rimarlk
Drakinor1
Apocalypse and Midas Magic are compatible with it. Since I just reinstalled STEP and SkyRe from a fresh install I am going to wait and see about adding those too because that gives a TON of spells lol
