But this person seems to be getting the service they're paying for so what's with the whole circus? And it looks like they don't understand taxes and/or math either.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil, I suppose, or, the crying baby gets the milk ;P

Getting the service I paid for ? What, like the last 2 years paying £3.59 a month for a FREE account ? That service ?

Serious question: How exactly did you not notice that you didn't have Premium for two years? There are plenty of "consider buying a premium upgrade" banners on the site, even if you didn't see any ads.

Such glitches happen. However, he should be entitled to a credit or refund for any months that he did not receive the service he was paying for.

Agreed.

Ok, so yeah, you've been a member for 2 years. If this was something that had been going on the full two years, I'd think you would have noticed it by now. I mean, me personally... I tend to notice things like that right away. I'm dense as a brick sometimes. But it doesn't take me 2 years to notice something that's right in front of my face for 2 years.

I'm not calling ya dumb or anything like that. I'm just saying, I don't think that this is something that's been like this for that long. I'm saying I'd think that you'd have noticed it and checked it out a long time before now.

Doesn't that make sense?

I will also go ahead and mention tho, that if you're not wanting to pay for premium anymore, you need to CANCEL the subscription. NOT just tell the bank to deny the payment. Otherwise, you're just gonna get mad again next month, when you get charged again. That's how subscriptions work. They stay in effect until you cancel them.

[Edit] And also that I don't use your bank, so I dunno if your bank will do this or not. But some banks will start to charge you fees when you repetitively deny funds to the same source.

Or even permanently block that source. Which, if this is paypal, then that's one you probly don't want perma blocked.

It didn't go on for two years (the user hasn't even had an account on the site for two years...). It was only this month's Premium that did not automatically update, which we have now rectified.

We don't handle these things in public as people will then comment on things without the full facts in front of them.

If the OP has any further issues please use the correct support channels.
