Are Game Spoilers a real issue anymore?

Now understand the focal point of this topic is VANILLA - DLC game quests and * NOT * Mod Quests.

I got an interesting PM yesterday about posting the above focused spoilers and I had to go, " Huh? "

With ALL the help Online Guides - Youtube walkthroughs - and not to mention just basic posts, how much of any of the following games are not fully understood?

Fallout 3 -
Released - October 28, 2008.
Fallout NV -
Released - October 19, 2010
Skyrim -
Released - November 11, 2011
Fallout 4 -
Released - November 10, 2015

"So people can't complain". Is the big part of it.

While I do agree that in today's electronic age of the internet with youtube, twitch, and all the multitude of wiki and game guide sites, it's hard NOT to get spoilers all over the place.

However, in today's internet age, we also have facebook, twitter, youtube, etc etc drekcetera that has taught people that it's ok to get triggered over the drop of a pin, and that it's ok to express their complaints in however trollish, hateful, uncivil, and/or mindless mannerisms that come out of their lack of self control mouths or fingers.

Also that when given the chance to complain, somebody always will.

But yeah. Aside from that whole mess, I try to be considerate about it, even tho yeah... I pretty much agree with you JJ. It's hard NOT to have gotten spoilers already. In Today's internet age.

if i want to know about for a game, i search for a walkthrough no commentary, and that is what i do for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, because those 2 games don't have beautiful graphics and if someone want to find something, is very difficult.

Because my favorite game is Fallout 4, for the new game players for that game, so: please don't search for spoilers, because there are so many good things at that game. Just look, the 100 first pages with mods and learn some things about Fallout 4.

i don't like, open world games with no modern guns, so i play Skyrim, for first time, this year -when i have time.

if someone want really to enjoy a game -even if a game is very old / Oblivion- use mods and always endorse the mod. That's all. Thanks.

No, they can't be. Spoilers are unavoidable nowadays, especially if using Youtube. Second day Death Stranding came out I've got spoiled by videos on my recommended feed with all caps telling me the ending, and I didn't even search up DS AT ALL for atleast a month.

Spoilers are mean. I never ever completed the FO4 main quest, or the Far Harbor quest, or the Nuka World quest. Although, I also don't intend to despite playing for years, to be honest, so spoilers are ok.

It's kinda sad for me to say, but... I have about ~1400 in Fallout 4 and never finished the game. I haven't done all quests. I have never been to the institute! Yes, never. I haven't finished any faction. I've started some factions and only done some quests. Far Harbor, some quests for DiMA. Yes, I have done the puzzle stuff, where you are in his memory. Many people disliked that, but this was really one of the most fun things I've ever done in Fallout and maybe even of all games. Really loved the TRON vibe it gave me. I wish there was more content like that...

Then I went to the childs of atom and did 2-3 quests and that was it.

Nuka World... mh...I cleared Kiddie Kingdom, Dry Rock Gulch, Galactic Zone. I did the whole quest series for Hubologen, which was also nice and let's say "funny". Liked that one. And that was it.

Most of the time I spent ingame is modding time/testing(doing random stuff).

So yes, there are still spoilers ahead for me. But I already read a lot of them... accidentally... still try to avoid them. After nearly 5 years, there is so much content for me open to discover.

The same goes for Skyrim, never played Dragonborn. But I did a lot in the base game and Dawnguard. I didn't play Dragonborn, because my load order said no.(this was before I started modding.)
