You played this game too long when...

- There's no chocolate in the game. One of the few things that never gets bad over time and still the most popular 'candy' or snack.

- Codsworth mentioning Shaun 'so loves a game of Charades'. Really? He's not even one year old.

- Why do the Institute technicians defrost the female character when they're after the kid who's with the father? The bloody sadists at Bethesda wanted the woman to witness the killing of her husband and kidnapping of her infant son, that's why. As if she wouldn't notice after the freezers fail.

- And when the freezers fail, everybody dies, except, of course, your character.

Etc., etc.

...you're riding the bus looking out the windows, seeing houses and asking yourself if you could use them as inspiration/model them in your Fallout 4 world space.

Ha! There I have also a good one:

... you seeing people moving quite strange and asking yourself if there is a navmesh error somewhere. ... :D

I would bother replying, but don't feel like it after over eight-thousand hours in the game.

This is actually a good example of my playing the game too much. or at least the start of it.

If you toggle on free cam during that scene, you can see that all of the occupants are moving around in the pods. They woke up everybody, not just the two main characters.

there is also a guy in that one pod, moving around. The one that is supposed to be empty, and was never assigned. Hmmm.

  • 5 weeks later...

Shaun liking Charades.

Being the father of 3 children ( now adults ) and a grandfather now.

Yes, I can actually see this. When parents do funny moves and motions, even at a few month old... they will smile or giggle. No they don't understand ... but when other people are laughing - mom, dad, extended family or friends.... The baby will smile and laugh being ' a part ' of the moment.

When I played TES VI Oblivion back when, I felt the urge to collect flowers, every time I was around them.

For Skyrim, it was a bit the other way around. Couple years ago I worked for a company where the CTO behaved exactly like your average run-off-the-mill Skyrim npc. He used the same sentences every day over and over again. Like Nazeem or the other guy with his nip in the air. Weekly company standup there was like walking into the Palace of the Kings and listening to Ulfric Storm-Fart and Guy Bear-Pelt and their always repeating dialogue. I so wished that someone would mod these guys, giving them a greater variety of things to say.

Oh, and since when is chocolate not going bad?
