KeeblerKines
So, strange but true. So I kept getting a message to update my Vortex while playing Skyrim SSE, which wasn't a problem I closed my game, made sure no internet was open and clicked the update/reload, (didn't know at the time that would delete all my mods but again no big). However, the message kept coming up and wouldn't let me re-install my mods. So I deleted every reference of vortex from my computer and came here to re-download it and both downloads only have the option for manual download. Which you all have clearly stated should only be done be the experienced, which given the above I am not. Please advise.

Updating Vortex doesn't "Delete all of your mods", unless you put your Mod Staging Folder, or Download Folder INSIDE the Vortex Install Directory, which there's a sticky about not doing. It sounds like you have some kind of malware or virus actually.
KeeblerKines
Ah no, you didn't read that as intended, but good suggestion. I actually know how the deletion happened, however, how my computer would change the "Mod Manager Download" Button on a single (Button is available on all other mod pags) Nexsus Mod File Page escapes me though. So how did the deletion happen?Because it shouldn't happen, so it'd be helpful for you to say so it could be fixed if it's a bug.

The warning about "experienced users" applies to the custom install option, which is the second option.

Your computer did not change any buttons on the Vortex download page on Nexus Mods. "Manual Download" is the only button available on that page. KeeblerKines
Yeah, when I first downloaded I used my favorite you-tuber to help me get it done. He's really good- I suck. I downloaded it incorrectly and then tried to re-download it in a different place and yeah ended up with multiple copies of Vortex on my system and somehow I did indeed save my mods to my Vortex. Like I said I'm an idiot, until I started trying to mod Skyrim SSE I would have said I was computer savvy enough to do a manual download but not so much I guess. I've cleaned everything up at this point so the computer issue is resolved. Let me clarify A question since I was to vague. I want to redownload Vortex. The option for Download on both file options is "Manual". All the other mod pages have the "Mod Manager Download" button option available. So I guess what I am asking is: A: Is this a Nexus problem or a Vortex problemB: How do I do a manual download, IF, there is no way to get the MMD Button back. NVMND Thank you so much I'm so sorry your right about the button and cause I was still misunderstanding My You-tube Mod Guru I was in fact looking for something that wasn't there. You guys rock, such patience in your responses. Thank you very much!
KeeblerKines
So just a quick follow-up. I got Vortex reloaded and as expected no mods (fine my error). However, no update messages either so thanks to you all for getting my brain cells popping so this could be figured out. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Now if I could just figure out a load order that actually works maybe after 2 months of having this game (and tring to mod it) on PC I'll actually be able to play it! Let Vortex handle your load order, that's it's jobDon't go following "Perfect Load Order" guides. They are OPINIONS not Guides.
