StormWolf01
Hiyas Everybody. Thanks for taking a minute to look at my thread. Like it says in the SL. I've almost never had to do captcha for here on the nexus. But now I'm getting them after I've typed out a post and click to send it to the forums. Is this something new? And if so is there a setting to turn it off? Or is this a new forum security measure? Is it something that we have a choice in? Or is this something in my browser? (Opera with no plugins and default settings). For those of us that post a lot in support forums, this is... well... spending nearly half an hour of time dedicated to trying to help somebody's issue and then having the potential of losing that work due to a failed captcha could be annoying to say the very least.Tho I suppose if we need to start using copy and paste before we hit the comment button, I guess new habits will have to be made. Appreciate your time. Thanks for looking!Hope you're all doing well!-Storm

But, then again, I never sign out.Heyas M48A5. That's a good question to ask. It would have been one of the first things I'd have thought of too.But yeah...I never sign out either. And I wasn't asked for Username or PW. Just a few seconds of lag and then the captcha screen. Definitely appreciate the input tho, thanks! :) One of the main reasons why I have the concern about the captcha, is that some browsers, or some settings in them will interfere with a captcha. Either by not letting them perform the way that they are supposed to, or even block their function. So I'm kinda back to wondering if I should start copying my text to the clipboard before sending the post, just in case.
Guest deleted34304850
i'd suggest to try again on another browser - if you get the same issue on two separate browsers then it may be a website issue - if you don't get the same issue on the second browser - back to the first, then look at your privacy settings, or mods that can alter/enhance privacy/coookie settings.its an intriguing issue though

Pickysaurus
If your post content is very long and contains things CloudFlare may believe to be suspicious you'll get a reCaptcha (or hCaptcha) challenge. This is to prevent bots/spammers/other malicious actors. Sadly it's not perfect so it triggers for normal members sometimes too.
