First gaming pc

Right I'm gonna get my first gaming pc been holding off for a long time finally getting round to it however I could use a bit of advise on the list I've put together as I'm not fully aware of what's good Whats bad so on and so forth so any input would be appreciated

If you have to go 'older' hardware on the CPU, get a Ryzen 2600 instead and get a better GPU. That GT1050 has 'ti' at the end but that's about the only thing remarkable about it. Get at least a 1060 or an RX 580. That case is closed at the front so bad ventilation can be expected.

 

And the Ryzen 3000 motherboard is a bit vague and for the latest AMD processors. There's a possibility your 2700 won't work properly on it because of the latest technology. What brand and type motherboard is it?

 

And what kind of power supply were you thinking of using? 500Watt should cover your needs when not intending to overclock. Something CoolerMaster, Antec, Corsair or Silverstone. Never cheap-out on the PSU. It's meant to power your costly hardware, not to alarm the fire department.

My suggestions:

Get a M.2 SSD for the OS if the motherboard has the slots (most decent motherboards have them).

Get 2x mechanical (or hybrid) drives - one for documents and so forth and one dedicated for game files.

Make sure that the RAM frequency is as close to the maximum that the motherboard can handle, 3200MHz or higher will suffice. Also, get 16GB RAM instead of 8GB if possible.

Get an UPS for your setup to protect it from electrical spikes, surges and brownouts. Also helps when the power suddenly goes out and you can safely save your game and do a proper shutdown of the OS. Then you switch off the UPS, it is not meant to run for hours. Normally a 1000VA or higher should suffice.

I'm with JimmyRJump on the PC case - it looks pretty but proper ventilation will definitely be an issue, and it is definitely more important than aesthetics.

You didn't mention anything about a screen - without going overboard I would recommend an 27" screen at minimum.

You will also need decent PC speakers or a headset for sound output.

GTX 1050 screen card is a bit below spec, and with it being the mayor workhorse in a gaming PC you would want to go as high as possible. I would recommend a GTX 1070 or higher, which gives you the option of using DSR if you want to (which means that you can run 2k and 4k resolutions on a 1080p monitor).

Your CPU is okay but do upgrade your ram and GPU if you wanna intense playing some good game in near years..

Other than that its okay to survive for a few more years.

Also your ram is a bit short, you and some many games would run out of space, i even reach around 7gb of ram pretty quick in high intense games. To be future proof look of a another stick of ram for you might need it.

I would suggest trying to get another 8gb of ram and upgrade your GPU to a 1060. you get much more bang for your buck with a 1060 compared to a 1050ti. and if you can afford it try looking for a case with better ventilation.
