WakahisaSensei
Just curious. I've heard of people doing it and even have seen a few (despite once being told it was impossible). So how would one go about taking an armor mod from SE and making it work for LE? I'm pretty convinced it is possible.
Ryyz
You can't. The nif files are completely different. The only way you could do it is if you have the source files from the mod author. esps are also different. If you've seen a few its likely from the author or someone the author gave the files to. However, here is a link for some limited backporting of esp files in case someone else reads this: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5349060-converting-mods-from-sse-to-oldrim/page-

Nonsense. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4089 This tool can backport nif files that were created for the SE. I've used it several times to convert SE mods back to Oldrim so I can verify this. And regarding the .esps...open them with the old Creation Kit, save it and that's it. This will work as long the .esp does not contain any kind of scripts. Edited April 8, 2020 by Novem99

For some reason I didn't get any notifications that people had even replied to this even though I'm following the topic. Unfortunately creation kit has never worked for me. I gave up on it long ago. I guess I'll just have to hope someone will eventually backport the armors I'd like to see. I knew it was possible, and it seems pretty easy if I could get CK working. But unfortunately it absolutely hates me.

WakahisaSensei
And what armors do you want to be backported?TBH I'd have to go check. I follow specific mod authors and I see whenever they post for LE and SE. So it would be anything they posted for SE but not LE. But really it was more that I just wanted to know the details to really confirm that it could be done. Most of my requests go unanswered so in the end it usually doesn't matter. But if you're offering, any cool CBBE armors or clothes that are unique. Stuff from Newmiller or Grimm.
