Your Favorite Weapon ... to take down scumbags?

So what is your " goto " weapon - Vanilla and / or Mod?

 

The one thing that always annoyed me with Beth and Weapons ... is the deck always seems to be stacked against you. :huh:

 

If you have the same weapon as the Gunner - Raider or whoever is shooting at you:

... They get you in 1 or 2 shots and it takes 8 - 10 shots on them. Seriously, are you kidding me??????? :down:

 

So I tried to find a weapon mod that at least gave me a fighting chance without being too overpowered or down right cheat. No fun in that, as I want my target to SUFFER PAINFULLY!!!

 

So the mod that I use?

 

Fallout 4 - Mods - Weapons - FACTOR - Modular Rifle

 

I do not over power, perse. I use the standard 5.56 Ammo - modified w/ LET IT BURN!

I enhance it to 120% or something like that. I found it still takes 2 - 4 shots to take stronger NPC's down, but at least gives me an edge to stand a chance to " Fight Back ", again without feeling like a " God Mode " or such.

 

So what is your favorite Vanilla and / or mod weapon to take down Commonwealth Scum Bags?

I use modern firearms/modern sidearms, so, I have a WIDE selection available. I usually carry three, an auto-pistol of some sort, full auto rifle, preferably a bullpup design, and a sniper rifle (and all three are silenced). I pick which one I want to use depending on circumstances. For just wandering around outside, I usually have the AR in hand, inside, it's the pistol. Sniper rifle comes into play when I find a hostile location of some sort. If I can get a sneak attack in, it's generally a one-shot kill..... otherwise.... well, I tend to carry a fair bit of ammo..... :D

For me it's a newer mod, the N.A.I.L gun- that thing is perfect in multiple roles, as a room cleaner or just lighting up a bunch of Supermutants- especially if you perk it up to use explosive heads at 170 psi. Ammo is made at the chem bench( it uses RR spikes... in a nail gun... with explosive heads.... give that a minute to sink in,lol) but I'll usually back it up with the Saiga shotgun( solid slug), the WA-2000, and the Reaper handgun with the 2cm EM rounds. Working on a good loadout for all energy weps as I like the lightweight aspect of them.

Full auto shotgun, loaded explosive rounds. Guaranteed to blow sh!t to bits. Or, send them flying about halfway across the screen. :D

 

Thinking that I may end up putting together a revolver, throw on the never ending, along with the explosive. Been wanting to try that out in xedit.
