Witcher 3 Script merger compatibility?

So I tried using this in its Alpha stage with Witcher 3, but ran into alot of problems with the Script Merger, Has this been improved? Me and my friends wanna come back, but were on the fence.

 

Would someone be able to explain in detail if it works now and how well?

Script Merger works, and it works well. Use v0.6.3.

 

My deployment method is "Move Deployment." I have not tested Script Merger with "Hardlinks Deployment."

 

 

To add to Augusta's post.

 

I HAVE tried the Script Merger with "Hardlink Deployment", and Script Merger makes it look like the scripts are being merged, but in fact, they aren't.

I too had to changed to MOVE Deployment for the Script Merger to function properly.

For whatever reason, the Script Merger treats the hardlinks like actual files, and goes through all of the steps, but in the end it doesn't WRITE anything, so the minute you start the game, you get error after error.

Have you tried with the latest version of Vortex? The W3 extension in Vortex 1.2.X is very different from what is was before and should now be working seamlessly with the script merger.

 

If there are any issues, please let us know and we'll look into it, but to answer the original question: Yes it has been tested and is now working. The previous issues were down to symlink deployment (which is not even an option any more). You might want to update the script merger to the latest version as it includes a minor tweak removing a (harmless) warning.
