Radioactivelad
I reinstalled the game recently and have been experiencing an issue with my Game crashing whenever I load in to, or approach Sanctuary, after I rescue Preston and the other Settlers in Concord.(On further examination, this specific event itself is not the trigger, but it does still provide a rough timeline of the very few things I have done in my game before it starts to occur.) The crash can actually be circumvented by first loading in to a game that has *not* rescued the settlers, then loading the game I actually intend to play, similar to the "Infinite Load Screen" bug that happens in New Vegas. Note that the loaded game in question does not have to have actually been to Sanctuary. I COC'd from the main menu to Diamond City, and that allowed my post-rescue Sanctuary save to load without crashing. My Loadorder is extremely minimal: 00 Fallout4.esm01 Automatron02 Wasteland Workshop03 Far Harbor04 Contraptions Workshop05 Vault-Tec Workshop06 Nuka-WorldNA CC Black Pipboy SkinNA CC Black Power Armor SkinNA CC Military BackpackNA CC Home DecorNA CC T-shirtsNA CC Overseer Pipboy SkinNA CC Settlement Ambush Kit07 Unofficial FO4 Patch08 Survival Console Enabler09 Military Backpack Distributed Disabling the Unofficial Patch allows the save to load without circumventing it with the previously mentioned method, but the easily reproducible nature of the issue and the lack of similar reports makes me hesitant to say it's specifically responsible. (And honestly given the choice between playing the game without it and not playing at all, I'd go with the latter.) HeyYou
Try moving the CC Pipboy skins out of your data folder, and see if anything changes.
Radioactivelad
Nope. Edit: took the liberty to remove all CC content, and it made no difference. Edited May 3, 2020 by Radioactivelad
HeyYou
That's just weird. You don't have that much in your load order.....
Purr4me
Nope. Edit: took the liberty to remove all CC content, and it made no difference. The date of the last update for the game, is it after the last date the UOF---Patch?Keep in mind, the data may be outdated so the patch won't work anymore. Radioactivelad
Alright, so Issue is resolved by disabling Gsync. That's not ideal, since it's a great feature for this game, but knowing the issue isn't a Corruption problem, I'm fine with just using my workaround to load in to my game.But... now I'm just even more curious as to why a crash caused by Gsync was so specific to loading my sanctuary saves from the main menu while having the Unofficial Patch enabled. Computers are weird. Edited May 6, 2020 by Radioactivelad
BlazeStryker
I have been having it, too. I also have Knockout Framework trying to remind me how I need F4SE 6.9 or higher. I do believe 6.20 is, in fact, higher than 6.9 but maybe it's my pathetic preference for a logical universe. Look, Bug-heads-yeah has been f*#@ing with the structure for a while especially as most of us don't play 76 or exclusively buy "milk" from the Cash Cow and I haven't believed in Hanlon's Razor in years. So could someone fix the faulty engine? Please?
