TUTORIAL: REMOVING UNWANTED MAGIC EFFECTS FROM THE PLAYER

Finally fixed that bonemeal effect. Had to carefully dig through creation kit. Here are steps to fix it:

- switch to 3rd person view;

- open console;

- type player.sre 000EBB72;

- close console and wait for a while;

- enjoy :P

 

This seems to be a permanent solution. sexchange mentioned earlier stops working as soon as you switch between first person and third person views.

Can anyone identify this effect? It gives me glowing red eyes which trail behind my character when i move, and a red ring around the mouth. I acquired it some time during my adventures in the soul cairn, not exactly sure when. Really obnoxious though.

Edit: Hmm...I have an idea... The vanilla script only removes the armor addon and visual effects from the "caster". BUT if the effect on your player char was actually cast by another actor or object, then the vanilla script wouldn't be able to remove the visual effects.

 

Try the attached script (FXAtronachStormSCRIPT). What I've done is added extra code to remove the visual effect and armor addon from BOTH the "target" as well as the "caster". It's worth a try. Put the attached script in your scripts folder, then use spell ID 2F3B7 to add and remove the spell from the console.

Hi everybody!

I am now having the exact same problem as VasMere.

I am 99% certain that the effect belongs to Skyrim Immersive Creatures, I remember seeing this on Skeleton Mages after I killed them.

The corpses just lay on the ground with this magic effect still going on.

 

Unfortunately it is not yet listed here.

Any ideas will be much appreciated!

this glitch appears on npc in game.. the only thing i have found in common is that they have mage armor perk and regeneration perk.. i tried to "removeperk *****" to no avail.. also tried atronach perk removal.. i can not find this as an active fx either.. this forms on acano faralda corlette sam guevenne and others.. plz help

Hello! I've done a Dark Brotherhood questline. I needed to enter the burning Sanctuary. There was a lot of fire, smoke and dust, which follows me for now. It follows me everywhere! HELP !!!

Does anybody recognize this effect, and know the spell/shader/effect ID? I've tried all the likely-looking fixes on the first several pages of this thread, including the wisp script fix, with no luck. Out of the examples here it looks to me most like the Frost Spriggan Matron Ability, if maybe a little bluer, from Skyrim Immersive Creatures/Skyrim Monster Mod.....but I've never installed either of those.

 

I picked this up in Blackreach when I went through a doorway from the Hall of Debate into the Blackreach exterior. There is no encounter or trap related to appearance of the effect, that I notice. I don't pick up any new Active Effects in my Magic menu when I go through the door, either.

 

I have replayed the save several times and the swirling, rising, particle-rich mist appears each time I go through that one door right after loading. However, if i first exit the Hall of Debate by a different door, then immediately re-enter and exit again through the door that causes the problem, the mist does *not* appear.
