Change start-up mod selection

The only way Iâve seen to do that is to make the desired game active when I shut down.

Yeah, I can't do that at the moment.

The last update changed the install directory and deleted my mods folder.

So I'm using the error about missing mods as a back-up of the mods I need to re-download.

But that means I can't get into the manager because the error pop-up forces you to either quit or apply changes (in this case remove all the missing mods).

"The last update changed the install directory and deleted my mods folder" - that is - worrying...

Game update? Vortex update? Neither one deletes mod folders or changes install folder.

Maybe you best identify the game and tell us what path you set for your game install folder, mod path, and download path.

Something is wrong.

It was a vortex update, and yes it did.

I used to have vortex installed in 'Program Files/Nexus Vortex/Application', with mod files in 'Program Files/Nexus Vortex/Mods/<game name>'. The update changed Vortex's install directory to 'Program Files/Nexus Vortex', wiped all the other files there, then installed the updated version.

I've now moved my mods folder to 'Program Files/Nexus Mods/<game name>' to prevent that retardation happening again.

You keep installing anything under Program Files - bad things will continue to happen.

That is a Windows system controlled directory.

Watch one of the Vortex installation tutorials and maybe read a bit.

Vortex has warnings in a lot of places to not do what you did.
