This Program Does NOTHING

I install it, I set where I want mods to go, surprise it's where they're supposed to go if I install mods manually, and not a single ____ing thing works. No mods work at ALL. I got all the required mods to make the mods work, I'm using the CORRECT version of Skyrim SE, and the mods are showing up in the Data folder of the game.

I'm at my wit's end and I just want these stupid mods to work.

What Game are you modding?

What mods are you using?

Are you

1 installing

2. Enabling

3. Deploying

Why are you installing them Manually, if you're using a mod manager?

How do you deploy? This program only has a pop up stating to Enable after I install.

I was initially installing them manually since I just got the game a few hours ago before I realised you can use this Vortex program.

Game: Skyrim Special Edition

Mods: f*#@ there's a whole list of them but they're all ones that make it so the in-game models don't look like ass. Wilco Overhaul or whatever it's called is one of them, as well as the Script Extender (which you gotta install manually. there's no vortex option for it)

Make sure you're using Skyrim Special Edition mods, and not regular Skyrim mods, a LOT of people make that mistake.

DEPLOY should be an option on the Bell Notification after you pick ENABLE.

Check the PLUGINS Tab, are the Plugins ENABLED?

Never saw a pop-up for "Deploy."

I dunno how to enable plug-ins, I see no such option.

Look I'm sorry but this afternoon has been a beyond stress-inducing experience for me. I'm trying to help but my eye keeps having a twitch when I even remotely think about this game atm.

Edit: Oh look at that! I found this plug-ins page. Ok I got everything enabled there now, but I still can't seem to find this "Deploy" feature.

Edit 2: Oh I think I found it! was a button at the top of the program's window. I'll try running the game now to see if this works.

Edit 3: Nope, none of them are working still. RIP

Check SETTINGS--------->MODS------>DEPLOYMENT METHOD does it say HARDLINK?

I totally feel your frustration. I was a new-comer not long ago, never saw a mod before in my life. A suggestion: Start with a plain vanilla game of Skyrim SE and install only one mod. Simplify. Once you figure it out with one mod, go to the next.

My suggestion for a mod to begin with is the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch. You need this as a baseline anyway for your game, and it has been professionally produced by guys that know Skyrim backwards and forwards. It is not a mod that is flaky or works sometimes. It is simple to install and a good one to use to learn Vortex.

Hang in there! You can do this!
