Yourboyfremen
I try and download larger mods on Vortex and get hit with a error message saying their is a Bad_Decrypt. I am stuck and it's very frustrating.
Pickysaurus
Sounds like an anti-virus problem, or you don't have latest Windows Updates for you PC.

Guest deleted34304850
can you attempt to download the file using your browser rather than via vortex?if the file can be downloaded by your browser, you can get vortex to install it from the file. however, if you get an error trying to download the file via your browser post the error message here. Tannin42
Unfortunately these errors are quite difficult to debug, because so many components could be involved:- Antivirus (turning it off temporarily won't do anything)- Firewall- VPN or https proxy- a globally installed ssl library There are two components we can practically rule out: Vortex itself and the nexusmods server because if either of them were doing something wrong, these errors would happen to all users. There has to be something off on your system, afraid investigating may be fairly involved. First think to check is: ensure your windows, AV, VPN, proxy, ... software are all up-to-date and are all actually still being maintained (so if your VPN got its last update in 2018 you have to replace it). Second:- Open the url "https://cf-files.nexusmods.com/cdn" in your browser. You get an error message instead of a site saying "not_found", but that doesn't matter - Find the little lock symbol in the address bar in your browser and click it. The screen looks a bit different depending on your webbrowser but it needs to say "Connection is secure".- Further, find a "Certificate" or "Details" or "More" button, anything like that (again, depends on your browser) in that same window to find the "website identity". It should say something along the lines of "Website: cf-files.nexusmods.com" and "Verified by: Cloudflare, Inc." and "Expires on: July 17, 2021".- Let us know if it says this or anything else, depending on that there are different things to investigate. Whipper123
I just deleted all traces of VPN software to try that but still nothing. The certificate for that link all looks good. Ran out of ideas, it barely downloads for a second without crashing out.
Guest deleted34304850
You could try to reinstall vortex over the top of your current install. it won't do any harm to your games/mods - but i wonder if somewhere you've got a bad certificate in your registry which is going to impede you.I'd like to know if you can download the file from the mod page to your own system without using Vortex (select the manual option). Whipper123
When I manual download it seems to fail. Which is weird because I can download from other places and I can download on steam/other things without any problems.
