digitarius3
Not sure if this is the right place for this question. I played as usual yesterday after receiving a request to update vortex. Today when I open vortex and hit the launch button for skyrim se nothing happens. The steam window opens (see attachment) and steam opens but that's it the game will not launch. Usually when I launch from vortex the steam window never opens the game just launches.
HadToRegister
Somebody mentioned the same problem after the update in the "What's new in Vortex?" thread.I hope it isn't a bug, when they try to start Fallout 4 or Skyrim SE using SKSE64 or F4SE, they get brought to the Steam Page for the game
nt5raham
Uh oh. This just happened to me. SSE won't start, brings up Steam. Wasn't happening this afternoon. But it is also happening with Vortex closed, when I try to launch straight from skse64_loader.exe, SkyrimSE.exe, and SkyrimSELauncher.exe. Looks like a Steam problem. When I go to my Steam Library and look at Skyrim SE, there is no option to Play. The only option is to Purchase. Steam is obviously having problems with accounts or licensing. I submitted a ticket to Steam Support. Yet it is allowing me to download, install and play Skyrim LE...
robmathes
Yep, as of today, this is happening to me exactly as you describe. Seems this update may have borked something.
HadToRegister
It's a problem with Steam https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8983593-psa-regarding-skyrim-sse-steam/&do=findComment&comment=83746378
Bradshavius
Try this on Steam: Settings - Download section: Clear Download Cache and restart steam. Steam > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache. Let Steam restart and log back in and game should show up in your library now.
