Download speed seems to be capped at less than a MB when downloading large files.

Just as a test, I downloaded SMIM. I have a 1Gbps up/down fiber connection that tested at about 945 Mbps. The transfer rate for SMIM varied between about 5MBps and 41MBps according to Vortex, with a shoot-from-the-hip average of about 30MBps.

 

@Tannin42, I was running this download test of the same 1GB mod OP had trouble with, and while the OP was having trouble. I have just left my download server at CDN, never changed it, and I'm located in the SW US.

I'm not the right person to address about this though. As I said, Vortex itself isn't really relevant for download speeds and when it comes to the severs I'm only relaying generic information, I don't have any details on the server utilization in a particular location at a particular time.
