Elsarian Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 I would say they are reptiles considering that they are mainly land-based for the most part, however they're also good swimmers. I like to compare them to a snake or lizard in that sense. Snakes mostly live, hunt, and procreate on land, yet there still good swimmers and can stay underwater for a good amount of time. ryegauvin Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 They are totally reptiles! Totally! They have the thick scales, the sharp claws, predatorily teeth! And argonians don't need to live in the water to survive! They are land animals through and through! .... But it looks like they were reptiles, but over the millennia of dealing with men and elves for business and what not, they've gained traits of mammals, like internal body heat and the ability to speak. Which im not just saying. From what ive seen mammals are the only animals that are capable of making noises beyond a growl or a roar. Like people birds, dogs. Then think snakes and alligators.
