Should we do a new wiki?

I just tried to make an account on the CK wiki.

And it worked.

So I don't know ....

EDIT:

Apparently the "confirmation email thing" didn't work.

Creation Kit could not send your confirmation mail. Please check your email address for invalid characters.

Mailer returned: authentication failure [sMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 535, response: Authentication Credentials Invalid)]

I would like that we try try to get a solid answer (as possible) regarding creationkit.com's future.

Maybe something is now moving and it is related to 76 mods??

Yours truly is not against the idea of or implementing a new Wiki, but if Bethesda or whomever is the owner wants to maintain the site, so why not?

Creation Club apparently exists. Nuking the documentation can not be a wise business decision (coming from someon who mods for free)

Maybe the true and arcane parts are only available for Creation Club creators?

To be continued,

I may be slow or there are mixed signals (I am not able to login with my account)

Login works?

Access rights (create/update/delete) Wiki documents works as expected?

Anonymous read access works for me. Except for that every page load seems unusual slow (always been) for a typical Wiki page.

The email server the site connects to or something between seems to be down.

Are Bethesda / ZeniMax the owners of the site?

That information is still vague to me.

Can't this be done on the Nexus?

Or...

What kind of server/backend is needed for something like that?

Is there a package recommendation?

May have access to a web server...

Think it can offload to a massive google docs space too, but that shouldn't be needed.

Never ran a wiki though, mostly just wordpress sites for a while now...

Not supportive of running it off a pi, (on so many levels).

Are you just setting it up and going to port it to a server then?

Edit: Looking into it, have these wiki packages available:

WikkaWiki

PmWiki Language Support

MediaWiki <-This one looks just like wikipedia (Language Support)

DokuWiki

Sort of partial to MediaWiki ATM.

Check it let me know, can set up in no time.
