I currently am a premium member for no other reason than I appreciate what you do here.

I'm in the sticks and my net connection is a wireless phone (dedicated) but my best speeds are about 150 kbs...

I don't have a lifetime membership and probably will just renew for 6 mos at a time. You get more money that way right?

Endorsements... arrgg

I just downloaded an updated version of a file a use regularly ... can't endorse it because I haven't downloaded the updated version...

I have downloaded many mods, most are stored because I do worry about you going away but even more, my net costs $60 a month... I got my contract just before they started putting limits on downloading per month. So I'm grandmothered in for now. If the choose to raise prices -- I could be screwed.

-------

{{But if you could find a way so that when I access my list of downloads, I could just check off an endorsement, that would be great. Opening one page and getting a lot done.}}

>>>>>okay, I went there today to print out a list and can endorse mods.. doing several right now than on to FO ON and MN... <<<

----------------------

>>>> allow me to congratulate you on how fast you responded to my suggestion!!!!<<<<

--------------------

I appreciate what you do and what the modders do. Having been a programmer I realize the work involved.

Plus as I get more time in on 3d modding I might get some stuff out.

I was trying to retint Eschemes Glass Armor for Oblivion blue and somehow made it transparent...

I am using Adblock plus, but I set a filter over nexusmods.com to enable ads. Will this allow higher download speeds with NMM, or will I have to remove the Adblocker entirely? Edited by darthbdaman

"Alternate payment options would also help, I know you don't need a Paypal account to donate but many people understandably run for the hills at the very mention of Paypal."

Thank you for pointing that out, it is why I never subscribed or will, though I would love to.

I'm hopeful they will come up with an alternative.

They only use PayPal? Well sorry guys I was geared up to send some money your way, but until you have an alternative, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to abstain. I've had too many problems with PayPal in the past to ever use the service again.

Dark0ne, whilst appreciating your financial considerations (see my comment on your last post) are you not ending up making everything more complicated?

As a Premium Life Member, who does not have ads on my site pages, what sort of bandwidth do I now have access to and how does feedback affect users like us? I consistently provide feedback but not necessarily every 30 days - only after having downloaded the mods in question and finshed the particular version of the game being played (on average every 3 months) do I provide feedback, for that batch of mods. For some mods this would mean 3 days after download; for others 3 months.

Your problems (according to your own assessment) would be resolved if you simply charged everyone who used the Nexus Sites £1 on their first (or a subsequent if already a user) download. No one could surely object to this and, in addition to raising the funds, would be much more simple to manage!
