Could someone please take a quick look over my mods? Spent the last 9 days tweaking and I'm losing my mind! No one is helping.

First off, thanks for clicking on my topic.

I've been struggling to get help from all over the internet. I've tried loads of forums, subreddits and discords and all I've got is pretty much silence. Even tried getting help from Nexus' Discord and was blanked for 3 days.

All i would like to know is, do i have any broken/conflicting mods installed?

I've been tweaking this list over the last 9 days, taking mods out, putting them in, testing them, cleaning them and so on.
My performance is a bit hit and miss, I'm getting stuttering (Which i think i created by editing iTextureUpgradeDistance1, iTextureUpgradeDistance0, iTextureDegradeDistance1 and iTextureDegradeDistance0). But i'm not 100% sure if that is causing the problem or not. I edited these values because it was put forward as a solution to the low res texture issues around certain locations.
I'm also getting the low res texture issue around certain locations, like Thicket Excavation. I've read this is actually an issue with the game engine sending textures to the graphics card too slowly. But i'm not sure if that is true and it is in fact my mods causing the issue.
Hopefully someone will come a long and just take a quick look and offer help.
Thanks for reading.

As for your modlist, im sorry can't help you there since i don't have fallout 4.

2 I pressume you use mod organizer 2 since that one is the least likely to screw up your game?

3 CTD's can happen due to a number of reasons, a weak gpu and to many too demanding mods.. so I suggest lower your settings least till the stutterings stop..

also remove any texture upgrades you have, any ENB and or any NPC related animations (physics). If even without this, you get CTD's it is your mods.. but then the more annoying part starts (you have to uninstall all your mods) and install them by type, so depending on what you find most important (gameplay/quest) you do those first, first gameplay (least likely to cause a ctd) and then quest related, followed by all mods that changes a ctity or region in your game, you should install them by importance, so the most important first, the least important last.. most CTD's happen due to conflicts with items /building added on the same spot another mod also uses, so you should be able to find the problem then rather soon. if not then you must find your problem in the animations, again another tedious task, because some animation just dont do wel in combination of other animation mods..

It will not be easy to find the problem and can be very lengthy task, (it took me 3 weeks to get my SKYRIM SE running with the 160mods I have now)

So good luck

Yes, I'm sorry i should have mentioned this.

I'm using Mod Organiser 2, the only time a mod is "conflicting" with another, is when i specifically choose it to overwrite it. So for example an update or a texture fix.

It's all installed on the SSD, that includes the game and the mods.

also remove any texture upgrades you have, any ENB and or any NPC related animations (physics).

This is exactly what i've been doing over the last 9 days or so.

I'd categorise the mods, enable one, load and run around, check the areas likely to be affected and repeat.

Appreciate the reply and taking the time to read.

Your hardware isn't the issue. That machine has plenty of power to run the game, as decked out as you want.

Think I might dump Beths high-res texture pack though, there are better ones to be had. (plus, it has some issues......) Not to mention that you have other texture replacers that likely render it redundant anyway.

I see some patches for Horizon, but, I don't see...... Horizon?

And..... 319 mods? You do understand the hard limit for mods is 255, right? ESL files don't count toward that limit.

Interesting, i haven't thought about removing their HD pack, i'll test that today.

Horizon has it's own section and isn't turned on. If there is a patch for horizon, it should be disabled. I'll recheck the list, to see if i've left some enabled.

A lot of the mods are loose textures, i currently only have 145 enabled esp, esl and esm 's.

So i think that is fine?

Thanks for replying

Dude, you have a lot of major texture replacement mods loading. Are all of the Luxor, Valius and falcon oil packs BA2's? Reason I ask is because loose texture files always overwrite BA2 archives, you mentioned "a lot" of loose files.... not only that, there is a lot of redundancy in those AIO/large, super inclusive packs. I'm no expert, but, if i were you, I'd chop down some of those large packs and pick the one/s that I like the best. MO2 cannot show overwrites with BA2 archives. As HeyYou stated, drop the crap DLC pack. Your rig is fine, but, the engine this game runs on is not.

BTW, judging by your rig, are you running a 144hz + monitor?

Yes they are. I try to focus on getting BA2's where i can

So i just had a quick look. I have roughly 40 environemtal based mods that are pure texture replacements and around 20 which are BA2's. The BA2's are mostly for the all in one replacers.

My idea was to use the all in one replacers to provide me with a baseline, then use more specific mods to overwrite them.

MO2 cannot show overwrites with BA2 archives.

Do you happen to know of a program that will allow me to do this?

As HeyYou stated, drop the crap DLC pack.

I've just done that today, the game already 'feels' better and seems to be running better. But i've just developed a stutter at certain points, which i now need to investigate.

BTW, judging by your rig, are you running a 144hz + monitor?

I don't have a 144hz monitor, but i do have a 4k 60fps monitor.

I don't run bethesda games higher then 60fps, because of the janky nature of their games when going higher then 60fps.

Thanks a lot of replying

Proper procedure. I was just wondering if having so many large texture replacers was causing issues. not just the redundancy, but, the games engine limitations.

There are programs that will allow you to open BA2 archives and edit then repackage them, but, they are beyond my scope of patience to learn :) I believe there are some of these programs on this very site.

I don't have a 144hz monitor, but i do have a 4k 60fps monitor.

You could try installing this mod -capping your frame rate at 60 fps and disabling Vsync in your ini files. Believe me, if your are running a lot of hi-rez texture packs this mod is the proverbial GEM. You can limit your frame rate via the mods included ini file. The mod author recommends leaving Vsync enabled, but, if you cap your frame rate via the ini file, it should work.

Also, Some folks have had issue with Windows 10 not properly flushing it's RAM cache. The following procedure seems to help...especially with crash on load issues. It's a simple matter of creating a task via the windows task manager with a small executable....

Sorry about the borked embedded link, here you go...

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10283?tab=description

this and the video you sent was a life saver for me lol

also something to note is that if you use any script mods I'd recommend getting Baka ScrapHeap - Script Memory Expander (pretty self explanatory) that should help with any future CTD's
