DarkDominion
Henlo o/ When visiting https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/901 = Book Covers Skyrim by Daniel Coffey I get a pop up from BitDefender ( legal and paid AV software ) telling me : -------------------------------------------------Feature: Online Threat Prevention chrome.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an unmatching security certificate to www.dcoffey.co.uk. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since the used certificate was issued for a different web address than the targeted one------------------------------------------------- I have run Malwarebytes and a full scan with BitDefender, restarted my computer and the issue still remains.I have a premium account and I run Ad Block PlusI also have BitDefender Anti-Tracker running which tells me that on that particular Book Covers Skyrim page they block secure.quantserve.com1 ( https://secure.quantserve.com/quant.js ) This Book Covers Skyrim page is the only page that gives me this Threat Prevention by BitDefender, no issues on all the other pages.Something smells fishy, could you guys please investigate ?Thanks ! :) Cheers -=DD=- DarkDominion User 35880795
Dark0ne
It is the broken image on the mod page. This happens when people use external image hosts who shutdown and then a malicious company buys the expired domain to do with it what they will. Please report the file page and let the mod team know.
DarkDominion
Dark,Daniel Coffey is still active on the Nexus ( online even today ), so I have informed him about this issue, asking him to delete the pictures or exchange the pictures with working ones, referring to conversation here. If for whatever reason this doesn't happen I will report it to the mod team Thanks for the quick answer.Cheers-=DD=-
DanielCoffey
Hello folks - thanks for the heads up on this. I will check with my Host as I believe I am still the owner of the domain. I did get a status message warning of impending PHP updates to the server my files sit on so it may be related to that. It was supposed to be completed on 8th October 2020. DanielCoffey
Apparently there was a server update on my domain again today. Is the mod page still giving warnings now after a browser refresh? It loads OK for me at home on Firefox.
DanielCoffey
Is anyone else able to reproduce the issue? Does it do it on the BCS Lost Library page? How about the vanilla Skyrim version of the mod? I can't generate the warning with Win10, Firefox and Kaspersky, nor on iOS14 or OSX or Microsoft Edge. DarkDominion
For me it doesn't work with Chrome + BitDefender for all of Daniels mods ( Oldrim + SSE, Covers and Library ) But when I use Edge, it does work with BitDefender ? DarkDominion
It's not BitDefender, just tried it with Chrome and with BitDefender temporarily disabled, still doesn't work.Must be something with Chrome ?Could I have a setting wrong ? Pickysaurus
I don't get any warnings, but these image links are still broken: http://www.dcoffey.co.uk/images/bookcoversskyrim/BCSSE_Banner_Large.jpg It's possible DD still has the "bad" version of the page in the browser cache.
