Exanimis is currently working on a project that requires A LOT of help. He's adding an entire continent beneath Cyrodiil. Here is the overview of Pellucidar: A subteranean world beneath Cyrodiil, populated by long forgotten races and beasts throughout all of time, take a stroll in the underground forests with a few triceritops, travel to the frozen North and do battle with the fierce snow beasts, the Busilaks, if you dare. This world is to be slightly smaller than Cyrodiil but very large by mod standards for new lands. Exanimis has made AMAZING progress by his lonesome, but would like some help with it. Wow! I'm impressed, I see that you've done your homework. You must have read everything I've posted about this mod. Since you've already started this thread, I might as well let everyone know what has been done so far and what is needed.

 

So far there are the following items made (In Blender or the CS)

 

Four new playable races.

 

Two new Villains. (non playable races) These are the Mahars who are described as being Pterodactyl in appearance. They rule Pellucidar and keep humans as cattle. The Sagoths , huge half man half ape creatures who are the slave traders and servants of the Mahars.

 

Two new city wall sections. These are so that the world of Pellucidar doesn't look anything like Tamriel.

 

Two new houses. These are mud shacks with thatched roofs and will contain several rooms.

 

Two stone weapons. An axe and a sword

 

One Pyramid. This will be the site of one of the quests.

 

Mummies. They will be the equivalent of the zombies in Cyrodiil

 

The Busilak. A blind creature that will guard the northern border.

 

1 unnamed creature. A giant worm like creature that lives underground with only it's mouth above ground. They wait for someone or something to fall into the trap.

 

Three dinosaurs. A T-Rex, Velociraptor and Parasauralophis,a hadrosaur or duck billed dinosaur.

 

The continent. Made up of five kingdoms that are separated by a jagged mountain range.

 

The terrain is nearly complete and the construction of the cities and the roads has begun.

 

I am creating all new armors and some new clothing for this mod as well. I am creating everything in Blender and am currently learning to add armatures, weight paint, add collision and animate. I should have working creatures within a month. Although I can UV map the creatures and items, I still can't texture. I'll be working on solving that problem soon.

 

The Pellucidar Project will have a maze of caves that will tunnel through Nirn to it's very core, here the player will find the world of Pellucidar.

 

The main quest of Pellucidar will be as follows

 

Finding a cave in Cyrodiil the player enters an underground world of mazes. You will have adventures, meet new races and complete quests as you go deeper into the planet. When the player reaches Pellucidar for the first time the will be tangled in a net. A Sagoth will approach you and knock you out with a club. You will awaken in a Mahar jail in the city of Phutra where you will learn about Pellucidar from another prisoner. They player will escape with the other prisoner and the adventure will begin.

 

The Player will find an ancient dragon who will send you on a quest. The dragons gain strength in the company of other dragons and they once ruled Pellucidar. They were betrayed by the Mahars and thirteen of the fourteen dragons were slaughtered. The player must seek out the thirteen souls and return them to the last remaining dragon, this will give her the strength to defeat the Mahars and bring peace to Pellucidar.

 

Other creatures, structures, weapons, armors and items are still needed.

 

Here is a list of some of the jobs that could be filled in order to bring this mod to completion earlier than if I work alone.

 

Script, quest and story writers. I suck at scripts and quests but I can tell a good story

 

Builders, people who can build caves and structures to add to Pellucidar or the caves leading to it.

 

Texturors, (Sp) I haven't learned enough to get the job done yet.

 

NPC's there is a whole world to fill

 

Modelers, Everything from the treasure chests to the ruins will be changed for this mod. Clothing,armor,weapons,housing,furniture even the clutter and the currency has to be changed.

 

I'll add more information later if interest in this mod continues. On a side note I would like to say that I am an adult. I am disabled and spend eight to sixteen hours a day learning what I need to bring this mod to the world of Nirn. This mod will not be forgotten, it will not be abandoned. Any work you add to this project will not be wasted.

As for doing my homework, I try heehee, I read every thread and section of the Savage Artistry site last night and I've read most (I think) of the side threads that you have put up about creatures and such on the Nexus. I am very touched by your thanks Exanimis, and as I told you before, I am very excited by this project and will do everything in my power to get the support this mod needs to be finished soon, and finished superbly.

PM me tomorrow and I'll send you the esp with the continent in it. There aren"t any people or creatures but you can run around and get a feel for how big this world really is. The forests are very dense so you can't run in a straight line far at all but you can explore the world from the southern swamps to the northern Ice shelves and get a first view of the walled pirate city in Korsairia. the map is working so you can keep track of where you are and you can fast travel to the far reaching corners of the continent. You can try to climb the mountains but it's rough and easier to go around them and unlike Tamriel, you can fall to your death. Oh, and there are something like 14 islands too but I haven't started building or populating them yet. Once you realize how big this place is and how much I have already built, I'm sure you will want to add to it all that you can.

 

Basically Pellucidar is like going to Cyrodiil and finding it empty, since this mod is an open community mod, you can add anything you want as long as it doesn't ruin the story or interfere with the planned quests.

By saying that this is an open community mod I mean that you don't have to be part of the team to help out. You don't have to join the team or the forum just to find out how the mod is progressing. Anyone and everyone is welcomed to add their opinions and ideas and anyone can go to the SavageArtistry forum and read about the mod and it's progress.

I'd offer to help you more with the texturing, but I fear I'd end up going too slowly with it and hold the mod up. Other than a few tweaks, the only texturing I've done is on the Gothic Breton and Half Dremora and those didn't require special additional maps to go with them. If you can give me a small chunk here and there and be patient though I'd be willing to help when I can. Maybe I could try texturing one of your new monsters when you are done with them. An idea, anyway.
