maxarturo
Hi all. I had a mod set to 'Hidden' for more than 2 months cause i was doing a major update, and saturday i upload v1.4. ( the mod wasn't up for more than a month from when it was first uploaded). I had "699 Unique DLs" (saturday 7/11/20), in the upper side of the mod's page next to 'Endorsements' when i set the mod to visible with the last update. Today i looked the mod's page to check for messages and i saw this: - The "Unique DLs" on the upper side of the mod's page says "706 unique DLs". While The files that have been downloaded have in total "67 Unique DLs". One of three things is happening here: A) I have completely understand wrongly how the whole Nexus system works. B) Nexus is manipulating how the 'Unique DLs' are counted. C) My mod's page or Nexus has been 'Hacked'. * Some clarification from anyone with knowledge on the matter would be most appreciated. Thank you very much.
HadToRegister
The "Skyrim Creation Kit and Modders" forum seems like the worst place to post about a Problem with the Nexus Website, instead of somewhere such as the "Feedback, Suggestions, and Questions" where the Moderators regularly check. IsharaMeradin
There is a unique download count per file and a unique download count for the mod as a whole. Consider a mod with three files. A user downloads all three. Each mod increases its own unique count while the mod page unique count only increases by one. If one of the three files is removed from the site, its download count will be removed as well but the mod page unique count will not be affected. If one chooses to update and replace an existing file, the previous file's unique count will be lost but the unique count for the mod page will not be affected. If one wants to maintain an exact match of unique counts between files and the mod page, then one needs to have previous file versions moved to the "old" category rather than deleted and replaced. maxarturo
Thanks IsharaMeradin for replying. Ok then, so the 'Unique DLs' in the "Download File" corresponds to "That File" been downloaded from the user as that version unique download. While The user could have already downloaded the mod from one of its previous versions, and that previous downloaded version counts as the "Unique DLs of the Mod's Page" (in the upper side of the mod's page). Did i understand it correctly ?, if i did then i was completely mistaken on how the whole thing works... Sorry Nexus stuff !.
