Dovahkiin234
Have you ever had an experience in Skyrim where you had huge expectations for a fight/event, and it turned out to be nothing? For example, when you go to Skuldafkn, and fight the Dragon priest and his two dragons, I was expecting a HUGE fight. However, I just ran up to him, and ran him through before he could finish the portal ritual. I was just thinking, "Wow. That didn't escalate quickly." Did you have any similar experiences? Kayyyleb
Becoming the guildmaster of the Thieves Guild. You go from being a random member who does Vex and Delvin's b&@*$ work to being the head of the organization...who still does Vex and Delvin's b&@*$ work. No authority was gained at all. Relativelybest
A lot of the dragon priest fights were like that. By far the most exciting one was Krosis, because the fight was outdoors which gave him room to retreat while pelting me with fireballs. But several of the others felt like beating up on a senile old man who just woke up and was trying to figure out which year it was. Becoming the guildmaster of the Thieves Guild. You go from being a random member who does Vex and Delvin's *censored* work to being the head of the organization...who still does Vex and Delvin's *censored* work. No authority was gained at all. Being the Archmage of Winterhold is the same deal. I think the only one who even aknowleges you are Archmage is the orc librarian, who pretty much doesn't care. I don't know if the same holds true for the Harbinger of the Companions or the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, because I haven't finished those questlines, but it wouldn't surprise me. Speaking of the College questline, I though the fight against Ancano could have been more interesting, considering he was leeching power from some kind of god artifact that could supposedly blow up the whole world. terrain182
anticlimactic .. anticlimactic moment every time. the only thing I knew it was not anticlimactic, you always have friends and enemies on your side
LordSarcasm
Destroying the Dark Brotherhood. I've always sided with them but this time I decided to get rid of them because it broke my feeble attempt at role playing. Well I go in and off a couple of terribly confused, bored looking assassins, then march back to Dragon Bridge and Maro doesn't even give me the respect of a scripted dialogue scene! And nobody in Skyrim even acknowledges in a passing NPC remark like, "I owe an ale good sir for ridding Skyrim of those terrible assassins." I don't remember a single time that the Dragon fight at Kynesgrove wasn't anticlimactic. The dragon there doesn't seem to level up with the player, and the way I play I never reach that part before level 20.
kradus
Both fights with Alduin, and the Final fight at the college of winterhold.
AlienSensei
Destroying the dark brotherhood could have been finished off so much better and what about cicero and the night mother? As discussed in a previous mod topic, I would like to be able to find Cicero in the Dawnstar sanctuary by taking his journals when you destroy the dark brotherhood quest. That should be an optional. Then you travel to dawnstar with the Penitus Occulus say the password, have a fight cicero, kill him, then have the Night Mother burned.
fraquar
When it comes to the questlines, the real question should be are there any climatic moments? My favorite - storming Whiterun.
