joqad
so i had this strange idea: a modified forge, that is used to destroy an item, giving a lot of smything experience, the armor/weapon would desappear from the inventory and you would get 75% of the materials, and a 5% chance of learning the perk of that armor/weapon(if is a type that requires a perk to craft it. Dudeman325
Hrm, I'm not sure how possible it would be to learn a perk from a crafting "breakdown" recipe, but breaking down weapons and armor is possible. The problem is that only one item can be returned per recipe in Skyrim (multiple copies of that item are allowed). For example, if you wanted to break down a Steel weapon, you could only return the Steel, Iron, or Leather Strips, but not all 3. I have to say, this is the only situation where I like the New Vegas GECK over Skyrim's CK, as New Vegas allows more than one type of item to be returned with a recipe. BrotherBob
For obtaining the perks, I think a script would be necessary, where the script checks for certain keywords, then adds potentially adds perks based on the keywords.
Jaradin
Val's Crafting Meltdown Needs to be better maintained and updated, but it's pretty much spot-on what you're requesting.
AlduinWorldEater
There's other mods that do this too. I believe "Requiem" allows it, assuming you can survive combat with the new system (it's a pain, but worth learning to survive!)
