i'm with everyone else in saying that getting a decent Beast like race is top of my list. Would it be cool to have automatic varients support for Khajiit and Argoniams to add the different breeds of course! But having one mod that makes good looking beast races instead of the strage mashup i have to use to get one on my rig to look halfway decent is fine (i think the really odd ones like Nala and Phalmer would have to be excluded if for no other reason then it would really complicate the armor system youd have to make special new meshes of all vanilla armors for the beastial phalmer and legless naga instead of just altering the 0 and 1 nifs to fit the digigrade beast races so i can see them being excluded)

And i totall get skinning being disturbing, it's supposed to be, but it is in the lore, heck theres a in game book on it "confessions of a Khajiit fur trader" which tells the story of a Khajiit who skinned his own brother and his own kind to become rich after all. But first things first

Making more variations is possible, but there's quite a bit of stuff needed to make them happen. When the first version of UBR is released, we can probably start working on adding extras. And of course there's the possibility that other modders will use the UBR framework and expand on it in all sorts of different ways :p

I wonder if Immersive Armors support will happen I know it is planned but I also know the armour making team needs to get its head together on that I use lots of mods with Perkus and know that the meshes and crap wont conflict depending on how they are implemented which brings me to my question is it only mesh swap or does it mess with armor values?

Either way I would happy to download upon release irregardless of incompatibilities that are possible but I would like to know and would be willing to test if its compatible with Perkus Maximus.

It adds new racial armor addons to the existing armor, so you equip the existing armor, you equip the new mesh for the specific race. That's how UBR works. *nods*

I agree with human like beast races. They look creepy for some reason (not in a good way), and uninteresting. I support much more the idea of Argonian tribes, other than a different appearance they also have different lore and skills.

And skinning an Argonian or a Khajiit may be a good idea for a creepy quest, but doesn't fit in this mod.

Agreed. There are several more human like 'beast races' that are either creepy or obviously themed towards Japanese cartoon characters and/or furies. If that style makes people happy more power to them, but there are already mods for them.

 

Variations of the beast races could be a very good idea though. This could most easily be done by just making them as separate races correct? The vanilla Argonians/Cat could be left ingame for the more 'human like' version, then this version could be added as a separate race with the same name or a tribal/cultural variation (I understand this would require the implimentation of NPC's and the changing of ingame characters into the new races so that you'd actually get a chance to see them and really have the diversity that this mod is attempting to bring. This is simply brain storming for far into the future or an addon). There could also be other versions: the full beast versions as mentioned above. There are also frog, toad, serpent, and amphibian like races of Argonians if I'm not mistaken. All very cool concepts that could be considered down the road. In the mean time, very anxious for this mod's premier! Greatly appreciative and in awe of y'alls skills.

I mostly agree with Ralin Drakus I don’t know why but there are a good number of mods that add human beast races even replace the real beast races with them.But when I see mods that add human beast races I lose interest fast in them, because they look like a creepy clown race who's makeup never comes off they just don’t look immersive and worse of all they usually have the stich on tail and ears. And why oh why would you WANT a mod to skin someone then sell it to some Creepy NPC?

because it's part of the lore, just as nagas and intelegent house cats are in the lore so to are near humans of both races and a black market fur trade. I don't get why people get so wound up about making the Khajit and Argonians more beast like "becase its in the lore" but don't want to go full beast or near human. IF your big excsue is "beast like races are more lore friendly" well then so to are full beast, near human, and black market fur trading, you can't pick and choose what's in the Lore of the elder Scrolls series.
