Zahkrii Do Dovahkiin - Hidden DLC Dragonborn Sword

I havent taken a look at the flying mod bete yet, since i'd rather not add any more confusion to this mess. I suppose i could try copying the bloodskal blade and changing the meshes and name

 

Edit: Just spawned a bloodskal blade through command console. And the effect doesn't work... Is that just me?

 

Edit: Nevermind, turns out bloodskal blades spawned through command or secret room don't have the effect. interesting.

 

No, its not just you, everyone's Skyrim game (with Dragonborn installed) gets that problem with the Bloodskal. Modded or not.

 

The sword only works when you find it on a dead Imperial's skeleton...wait a second, I wonder if the skeleton has a WORKING bloodskal but its under a DIFFERENT ID?!!?

 

Edit: Nevermind, his skeleton doesn't have a blade, but I checked the quest that points to his remains and found a script with the property "pDLC2BloodskalBladeQTS." Is this the blade's "Hey, this player is power attacking, ACTIVATE Bloodskal energy attack!" or something?

Yea well that is most likely going to effect the dovahkiin blade since it has to be spawned through console. I wouldn't even know what to do from there, as far as incorporating that script goes.

 

Say, have you tried:

 

Taking the Bloodskal affects from Imbue Weapons and putting them on two yet separate Magic Effects

 

Added them to a single spell which is then added to a perk as a Weapon Swing Spell

 

Apply the perk to another Magic Effect that gets added to another spell, but its typed as an Ability

 

Take a part of the Magic Effects of Rage of Ancients to equip the ability?

I think we're reinventing the wheel there, so to speak, but I can give it a shot. I have a feeling out best shot is to diagnose the problem as to why the effect cant be used in conjunction with other effects.

 

Edit: If you want to see what im talking about, go ahead and change the "Imbuedswordpower" to a voice power, and replace it with any shout you'd like. Test it, and it'll work. Go back, open the voice power again, and add any other shout effect. I'm using the non-skse version of the mod btw

Looks to me like this Imbue Weapon stuff is caused by a script, unfortunately, Creation Kit is unable to open it for me. All I get is a blank script menu.

Download Notepad++ you can open the psc files but not the compiled .pex files

 

EDIT: Just found out that if you apply the imbuesword effect to a shout, it will work for the desired duration. I was originally working with the imbuesword toggle to apply the perk when the shout was active. I just bypassed all of that. The only problem is that effect is constant, whereas the the zahkrii enchantment is a fire and forget.

Try changing it into a Fire and Forget and see what happens.

 

Edit: I do have a question though, were you trying to put the effect on the sword enchantment before?

I was originally trying to get the effect to work with any other effect. Changing it to fire and forget still allowed it to work, but i the other effects would not trigger. As for what I was doing before, I don't think I can really say, because i'm pretty sure I've tried just about every single combination. There has to be something prohibiting the use of the effect with other effects.

Well, idk how or what is causing the issue, but am as baffled as you are with this stuff.

 

Am going to poke around in Flying Mod Beta and see what I can scavenge from it. Since Imbue Weapons appears to dislike having its affects be used in conjunction with other affects.

 

Edit: no luck there other than the "Bloodskal" energy blast being caused by a script.
