XTgrndr
I'm new to this, so have zero experience. I had an idea for adding a couple of specific companions for the main game based on/or from the DLCs Old World Blues and Dead Money. But so far, one thing is pretty much roadblocking me. Everytime I load the relevent DLC, there's nothing there! The creature list is completely blank. Since all the tutorials I've viewed show a quite populated list, I'm quite confused as to why I'm getting essentially an "empty" list. And well, if the creatures don't show up, that's going to kill my projects before they even get started. Can't create a companion if I can't start manipulating the source file to begin with, now can I? Note: I'm using Geck 1.1 since the other versions I tried aren't very stable (crash crash crash). Not that it seems to make a difference, 1.4 before it commits virtual suicide is pretty much blank as well. Anyone know of a solution to this?
Slikpik
Look in your Data files and tell me all the BSA files that are there

Slikpik
If not, extract all the BSA items like this http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/images/6299790-1363210397.png Edited March 13, 2013 by Slikpik
Slikpik
Alright, me being a massive idiot telling you this... I just realized I don't think the BSA files have anything to do this. I was telling you this remembering a problem I had where I couldn't select a nif file... Stuff not showing up in the geck creature list, I have no idea what's up with it. Maybe a faulty geck? Do you have GECK Power Up? Edited March 13, 2013 by Slikpik
XTgrndr
Tried the Geck powerup with version 1.4 Crashed again. Starting to get that feeling when I used to play around with TombRaiderLevelEditor.Went all out designing massively intricate object libraries, with custom textures/objects and when I tried to compress them to reduce the file size, the object editor corrupted every single library beyond repair, which pretty much ended my ability to level edit! Looked all over the net extensively, all I could get as reliable links was the Geck 1.4 from the official site. And well, that's not helping. Found some talk about version 1.7, but could get no hard facts about it. And what is that BSA Browser in the screenshot?Being new to this, I may have failed to acquire some utilties. Slikpik
That's just the Fallout - Meshes browser. You have to extract all the BSA files into your Data file like it shows you in the screenshot.
