bmardiney Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Just wondering if there is a quick way of compiling a list of mods that have been previously installed for ease of re-download when reinstalling? Sometimes I need to either reinstall windows or remove the mods for space (small SSD) and it's really annoying to have to manually go back and remember or write down all the mods. Can they be linked to your profile or something?
MidnightSpectre Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Have you tried this? Scrn:http://www.editer.pl/fotka/ed12c2fb0944d784d35024e2eff4e489_1.jpg
bmardiney Posted December 19, 2020 Author Posted December 19, 2020 Ah okay. Thanks. Don't suppose Vortex just has an "auto-download all favorites" or something similar?
HadToRegister Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Ah okay. Thanks. Don't suppose Vortex just has an "auto-download all favorites" or something similar? No, and you'd probably hit the API cap and get blocked from downloading for a while. You'd get the "Rate Exceeded" error message.
bmardiney Posted December 19, 2020 Author Posted December 19, 2020 I didn't even know that was a thing. I've been downloading tons of mods in the last few days. Hmm.

HadToRegister Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Also, another feature of the website, (Don't know if you already know this or not), look at MidnightSpectre's screenshot, you'll see TRACKED MODS.THat button will bring up a list of mods that you clicked the TRACK button on, so you end up with your own personalized list of mods, that you can easily open the list and see which mods have been recently updated etc.I always TRACK the mods I download and use, or I track them for future reference so I don't forget about themFrom the tracking screen I can see when was the last time I downloaded the mod, when the most recent UPLOAD of the mod is, whether it's been updated, what version it is etc...That screen looks like this:
rmm200 Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Your Vortex Download directory can be anywhere. Put it on a big, slow HDD.And never delete mods you might have any interest in using again...Except for version changes, I never re-download a mod.Want a mod list? Just do a Dir in that directory...Want to move to a new PC? A flash drive is the fastest way to do an air gap copy of Downloads.
