MontbelloKnight
It s almost certain that one of your mods is causing this, so what you should do is unistall the game and delete everything related to it, even steam and the left-over folders, so that there is nothing left of your current messed up Skyrim data. Then you install everything back, and see if the game is still bugged without any mods active, if it isn't, then you activate your mods one by one to find out which is the cause of your problem. I know... it is kind of drastic, but it's all I can think off.
Georgiegril
If you are using the Community Uncapper, make sure you have updated that for the new patch. (You can do that by enabling auto-updates in the uncapper text file)-- I take that back. Seems the problem may be caused by a faulty 1.9 update, and verifying your cache on steam should take care of the problem.
VictoriaG
I had this, it showed when I reverted the latest 1.9 tesv.exe to 1.8 (because 1.9 breaks some very useful console commands) but I also found the latest patch also updates the update.esm and update.bsa files, when I reverted those back to the previous version things went back to normal. Apollyon84
I'm having the same issue. It happened when I tried to update from 1.8 to 1.9. I'm not sure if I can go back to 1.8, and a few mods require 1.9; I'm worried the mods will stop working if I revert back to 1.8 somehow.
chuckNice
I have the same issue. Here is a screen cap of the very few mods i installed. This should help narrow it down. I will try deactivating all, then try one at a time.... These are all I ever downloaded or activated. Also, below that is load order. Pevey
Many people have reported this issue. Don't worry, this is not caused by a mod. For whatever reason, your upgrade to 1.9 did not go smoothly, and there is a mismatch between your Update.esm and TESV.exe. Just use Steam to verify your game cache and you should be fine. Apollyon84
I set SKSE to auto update (it wasn't set after I manually updated it). I then reverted back to 1.8 and updated it again to 1.9 which fixed it.
