cardboardboxguy
As it states on the tin, they seem to be downloading onto my C folder which is constantly running out of space so I'd like to move it to my fallout file on my D: drive. also I can't seem to locate the mod file on C: drive
Guest deleted34304850
what do you have your mod download folder set to under settings in vortex?
rmm200
Also: Downloads can be anywhere. Large slow drive other than C: is fine.Staging folder must be on the same drive as your game. Games are best on a large fast drive like an SSD. Also best not on C:.If C: is all you have - consider adding a large external SSD.
Klyde21
Mod file is in C:/%appdata%for some stupid reason.
HadToRegister
Mod file is in C:/%appdata% for some stupid reason. The MOD FILE or MOD ARCHIVE as in ZIP, RAR, 7Z file? That's the default installation for Vortex Just go into Vortex SETTINGS------>DOWNLOAD and change the location of the folder. ALWAYS check the SETTINGS part of a program to see what things you can change

Who are you talking to? I was just trying to help him locate the download folder.Edit: oh, I see. He was looking for the Fallout 4 folder, not New Vegas. Guest deleted34304850
my second post in this thread, where i ask YOU if you're hijacking the thread for your own issue, is because of this response where you appear to answer this question; what do you have your mod download folder set to under settings in vortex? You replied thusly; Mod file is in C:/%appdata%for some stupid reason.which appears to be a statement in response to my question. Which prompted me to ask if you've hijacked the thread for your own issue as your userid is not the same as the OP.How would you know where his download folder is? It's a setting in Vortex which can be set by the user. Hence my question asking where the OP has his download folder set, as they're suggesting that they have it on D: but mods are being downloaded to C:
Klyde21
Oh, I see. I simply commented %appdata%, because I had the very same issue a short time ago, and thought if he couldn't find it, that was the most likely spot for it to be placed, as that was where I found mine.Edit: It's also the default install folder, if memory serves, and it stands to reason that if he couldn't find it, he probably didn't manually place it elsewhere.
