Maharg67
What has happened is terrible, a great crime not just against Americans but against people from around the world competing in a positive, friendly competitive fashion. The deaths were terrible enough but all the people who were badly wounded, who will have scars from this the rest of their lives, will mean that the ramifications will go on for a very long time. Having said this I was impressed by how people, society, have been so supportive of victims and their families; this was most heart warming to witness. Of the three that died, including the tragedy of the 8 year old, two were American citizens and one was a Chinese National. As far as I know, nobody has claimed responsibility yet. Please leave politics out of this topic as the events are too raw for such debating or so I think.
Kahru18
The Boston Marathon Bombing is sad news indeed. I just hope that It won't happen to "If I saw it correctly in news", the London Marathon that's going to be held at April 21, 2013 Sunday.
kvnchrist
To add insult to injury, i've heard that The Westbourgh Baptist Church is planning a protest in Boston thanking God for the bombing.

Phalanx108
To risk crossing a line, I'm just waiting for the day when someone targets the Westborough Baptist Church themselves. Surely they have to be getting on someone's radar by now.
Nintii
Yeah well if you believe in freedom of speech ... or is it only great when it's in our favour ?Believe me I had to put a hand over my mouth after listening to the mother of the "bombers"a few seconds ago on BBC World.I thought, "Yeah right sweetheart, they're so innocent just because they're your kids".Still it's her right to voice her opinion ... guilty kids or not ... and I have to respect it. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that many would love to give the gift of concrete shoes to thenuts at Westboro ... with signs like ... "Planes crash God laughs" can anyone really take themseriously ? People do not have the right to do wrong. It is wrong to intentionally inflict pain and suffering for a cause that will not benefit the recipients in any logical way. This is why you can't scream fire in a crowded theater.
Nintii
I don't know what's worse ... warning people of the pain to come or just saving yourself and runningout and letting them burn ... in your theatre of course ? Anyhow, I just hope that the next numbskull that wants to try a similar stunt will be shocked into realityby the fact that ... it's only a matter of time AND YOU WILL BE CAUGHT.Ask the guy swimming with the fish. This is why you can't scream fire in a crowded theater. Yelling fire in a theater is because you will cause a possible riot and physical injuries. Unfortunately these idiots have stayed just inside the lines of their free speech. Morally offensive speech is indeed protected. It is only when inciting words (words that request a further conduct or action or words that present a clear and present danger) or "fighting words" are uttered that your right to speech ends. I hope that someday these people get their reckoning but they do have the right to do what they do...not matter how abhorrent. I think though another thread would need to be opened on free speech and not take this thread down that road.
