Errant6
My googlefu is failing me. I've recently become obsessed with the immense scope of mods available for Fallout 4 and enjoying the functionality of Vortex to manage them. Are there any options that would let me stream my vortex-modded FO4 from my PC to my Sony Bravia smart TV? I have an Nvida SHIELD set up with wireless keyboard and mouse, but that only seems to support the default Bethesda mod options - a sad fraction of what Nexus offers. Thanks. HadToRegister
Vortex is just a mod manager, if anything, it would be an nVidia app, or the Steam Client that would stream to your TV
DoctorKaizeld
You should be able to stream just fine. Vortex just manages the mods it doesn't run the game.
rmm200
Vortex, unlike MO 2, does not even need to be running when the game is.
Errant6
Vortex, unlike MO 2, does not even need to be running when the game is. For a short time there I was super excited to read that... then some experimentation found Vortex must do *something* else, because some of the mods I use require Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE), which doesn't seem to run when I start FO4 from the default shortcut. e.g. I installed Mod Configuration Menu, which requires F4SE, to manage several other mod options from the in-game menu. When I start FO4 from Vortex the in-game options are ready and waiting. When I start FO4 from the default Steam created FO4 shortcut, no in-game mod options available. :(

Did you set F4SE to PRIMARY in the Dashboard?

You're right, not one of my most brilliant assumptions ever. I don't recall setting a primary on the dashboard but it's quite possible. I'm going to try a clean install once I've got all 93.1GB of FO4 downloaded again... Edit: A clean install of Vortex (after uninstalling the program and deleting the previous user\...\roaming\vortex files) detects and sets the F4SE _launcher as the default .exe automatically
rmm200
In the ordinary course of events - it is never necessary to re-download a Bethesda game.Delete everything in the game directory not from Bethesda, then have Steam validate your files. If you were overly exuberant about the cleanup - Steam does a dandy job of fixing it.
