Dew
My mage character doesn't replenish it's magicka when resting...I'm not sure why, but whats a good way to get some magic potions? I can't seem to find enough in shops and stuff to keep me going
Untouchable1
i think thats because you got the sign of the Atronach (spl?). since you were going for mage you probly looked at the Fortify Magicka 2x Int and overlooked the Stunted Magicka curse, that means you cant replenish magic while resting. however you can use the Absorb magic constant spell you have by that sign to absorb magis cast by other mages at you. also just about the only way to replenish you magic is to buy potions. get the lower quality cuz its more cost efficient. ...rar... Adras
A way to get 5 Restore Magic Potions is to take them from each of the Mages Guild's Store chests. i'm not sure if you have to be a member to take them, because I always become a member of the Mages Guild. Never do the quests, just become a member =o) Anyways, you can buy them from an alchemist also. Or make them your self.
Switch
Yeah you have to be a member to take anything from guild chests. Unless you want a guild full of mages lobbing spells at you, that is :P And yes, it is because of the Stunted Magicka curse of the Atronach sign that that happens. A good way to restore magicka I've heard is to get a summon ancestral ghost spell (if you have a good conjuration skill), summon it then attack it with something weak (so you don't kill it). After a hit or two it'll attack you, and it can only use spells. So you'll absorb most of them and get all your magicka back. Then just kill it. Voila! :P Much more cost efficient than buying tons of potions. Or you could always just enchant an amulet with the spell or something. That works ;) I think they drop from some enemies/chests, too. VG_King
I personally like the Atronach sign the best, since in the end, I usually restore magicka just by using potions since I have so much money, with or without the sign. All the other signs i just don't find very helpful. The warrior and thief are okay but still just aren't to my likeing. Attribute raising signs are also good (such as the steed and the lady) but those are mainly for newbies. I don't like using those since in the end you get all the attributes up to max so its mainly just a wasted sign to me.
Sudnara
well if you are going to be a mage then the alchemy skill will be wery usefulwith the Atronach birthsign so you can make your own restore potionsbut they are ofcourse more expensive to make with only morrowindbecause of the lack of cheap ingredients but you can also make manyother wery useful potions with the alchemy skill
Adras
My very first character I used The Lord sign with. That is probably the most useless sign ever. Yes, it has retore health, but it doesnt restore much, and it has Trollkin. 100% weakness to fire. I had a HELL of a time beating a lowly Flame Antronoch when I was a level 11 Redguard. Tigersong
You could try playing a Keynari. They've got an ability which makes them regenerate magicka as if there were an Oblivion character.
