Gilbertogo23
Hello! ive been trying to read modding tutorials but I am not that tech-savy so I could not follow well. I had installed mods and they seem to work well until they crash 10-20 minutes after playing. I was trying my best to do this on my own, but for now I seem to run out of options and would want to ask for help now. here's my load order from LOOT 0 0 FalloutNV.esm 1 1 DeadMoney.esm 2 2 HonestHearts.esm 3 3 OldWorldBlues.esm 4 4 LonesomeRoad.esm 5 5 GunRunnersArsenal.esm ClassicPack.esm 6 6 MercenaryPack.esm TribalPack.esm CaravanPack.esm 7 7 New Vegas Redesigned 3.esm FCOMaster.esm 8 8 Gomorrah Redesigned v2.esp 9 9 NVStripOpen.esm 10 a NevadaSkies.esm Real Recoil.esp 11 b EVE FNV - NO DLC.esp 12 c The Mod Configuration Menu.esp 13 d dD - Enhanced Blood Main NV.esp 14 e FCO - GlowingOne.esp 15 f Mojave Nights.esp 16 10 Vurt's WFO.esp 17 11 New Vegas Redesigned 3.esp 18 12 pyDoF.esp 19 13 Weapon Retexture Project.esp NS - TTW.esp 20 14 StripOpenMain.esp 21 15 NS - DLC.esp.esp NS - Base.esp.esp 22 16 CustomLighting.esp 23 17 CustomLighting II.esp 24 18 CASM with MCM.esp And oh, I also seem to have some s=dirty plugins according to LOOT. screenshots are posted below. Thank you so much, this is my first time asking for help so please bear with me.
DanteRedfield
Are you making real saves? When I used only quick saves in new vegas years ago I crashed all the time
gnarly1
<snippity>Do NOT clean the DLC esms.Install the recommended bug and engine fixes/mods per the Viva New Vegas guide.Read the mods to Avoid to Section of that same guide.Clean the other mods per LOOT's recommendations. JimboUK
Are you using the Stutter Remover on Windows 10? that will cause crashes every ten or so minutes.
M48A5
Remove the plugins you aren't using. Why are some of the pre-order packs not active? You have the DLCs active so why are you using EVE FNV - NO DLC.esp? FCO - GlowingOne.esp requires FCOMaster.esm to work. The game should crash on loading due to a missing master. You have been lucky to run 10 minutes. You need to actually read what you are installing. Do not try to use FNVEdit until you read and understand the user guide. JimboUK
It's not crashing instantly because New Vegas will load disabled masters if they're required by a plugin, I found this out when a home I'd disabled still appeared in game, it turned out that another mod had it as a master so the game loaded it. dubiousintent
* Be aware that one error may mask a number of other errors, which will not appear until those masking them have been resolved. Building a stable game consists of resolving each problem individually until none remain, and then realizing that every change you make thereafter (including updates to mods already installed) run the risk of introducing new problems. Be prepared to revert to a previous save if you do so.* Do you have "New Vegas Stutter Remover" (NVSR) installed? If so, please see the 'Issue: CTD after 10-20 minutes of play (post-Win10 2017 FCU)' and 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' entries in the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. Note the default NVSR settings do not work with Win10, but there are some recommended by the author for Win10 further down in the article.:* Currently, the recommended alternative to NVSR, if you are running Win7 or Win10, is to try using the "New Vegas Tick Fix (NVTF)" and "New Vegas Heap Replacer (NVHR)" mods instead. Please see the 'First Timer Advice' section; as well as the 'Towards Game Stability' and the 'Common Game Problems' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. You are committing a number of the sins covered in the "Common Problems" section. If the problem persists, then work through either the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' or the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' sections in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last set it up. It is designed for someone who has never played a modded PC game before, so it tries to avoid making any assumptions, is kept "up-to-date", and covers years of "lessons learned" by a retired Technical Support expert. It is NOT a list of various mods to install that happen to work on the author's machine; only "the essentials". It addresses fundamentals underlying how to get the basic game and mods to work together. At least 90% of everything I post in the "Technical Support" sub-forum is already in that article. Once you can play a test game to at least Primm, only then should you try adding other mods from some other "guide".-Dubious-
