Unable to play due to "Mod rule cycles"

I recently installed many new mods to improve the graphics and my experience of Skyrim: Special edition however it keeps telling me mod rules contain cycles and when I try to flip or delete rules it just closes the window and wont allow me to open it unless I restart vortex and when I reopen and try again to change the rules it just closes. So when I load up Skyrim when I try to load in it just crashes and my script extender wont activate because vortex cant make deployments while there are rule cycles so please help

Did you add any of the mods or plugins to GROUPS?

If so, REMOVE them, because the biggest cause of Cyclic rules, is putting mods in groups, that CANNOT load AFTER another Group, then making a rule for the mod to load AFTER a mod in the group

Let Vortex do the sorting for you, and only make rules when Vortex complains about a conflict, and DO NOT MESS WITH GROUPS.

you need to read the instructions around those mods.

first thing i'd do is remove all the mods in that list - and get back to a point where you can deploy all the mods in your game with no issues, then i would install those mods, one at a time, understanding where mod a needs to load before mod b. i would deploy after each mod is installed - make sure no issues. go from there.

bottom line - you cannot simply pile a stack of mods on top of each other.

These are mod conflicts, not plugin conflicts. Groups are only a concept for plugins, that doesn't apply here.

I'm not sure why that dialog auto-closes every time and I'd like to investigate if you create a feedback from inside Vortex.

But you don't _need_ to use that dialog. If you enable the "Dependencies" column in the mod list (if it's not there already) you can remove rules by clicking the (colored) icon in that column and in the popup click the (-) symbol alongside the rule.
